Bits & Pieces
We saw this juvenile bald eagle a few days ago. It was midday and I was shooting into the sun. I was going west, and he was sitting in a tree a few feet off the other side of the road.
This jigsaw puzzle is waiting for me...if I start it now, I won't be able to leave it alone. I love puzzles. When we were kids we would usually get a new jigsaw puzzle each Christmas. I have loved them as long as I can remember. My favorite part to work is usually the sky, or sky and snow. and my least favorite parts are dark greens.
Bubbie likes to claim my lap a lot of evenings. He loves snuggle time.
Some fabrics my daughter picked up for me. She couldn't resist sending me a picture. The one with the squirrel and the ones in the right stack are by this designer Tula Pink. If you have time, look here. I googled Tula Pink Fabrics and then clicked images. A LOT of her fabrics have an animal in them. And they are so cute. Every time I look I see something I didn't see before. Roger had trouble seeing the rabbit in THIS one--do you?
I had not really looked at them before...now I regret it. IF you take the time to glance, be sure and look at the different color versions. It can really make a difference, and one or two of them, you can see the animals better in some colors than others.

Bubbie is the cutest cat. Wow, how great that you got the eagle photo. Those fabrics are just beautiful - very fun to look at!
ReplyDelete...my kids and I would put a puzzle together years ago, I haven't done one in a while. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteThere was a hawk in our front tree by the bird feeders yesterday. His back was to us and I could not for the life of me identify what he was. I think he was juvenile adding to my dilemma. I know hawks are after the birds and other critters in my yard, but I still get a thrill when they visit.
ReplyDeleteLove your fabrics. Tula Pink always has such vibrant patterns and colors.
I love Jigsaw puzzles. When we are Empty Nest, we put one on the dining room table and Terry and I work it together. the kids move in and out it seems, so right now I am missing a puzzle. Does Roger work puzzles with you?
xx, Carol
i always feel warm and fuzzy seeing sleeping pets, Bubbie is so sweet sleeping. love it. i saw the rabbit time it opened, the one at the top. i also saw several with squirrels different than yours. she has all kinds of things hidden, even Native Americans in one. beautiful colors and i know you can't wait to get your hands on this gift from your daughter.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE her fabrics and want all of them! Especially the fox! Yes, I saw the rabbits. She is very talented. You must have Direct T.V.! Bubbie is so sweet. What does EZ Grip mean? I love the scene with the covered bridge. You are so good at bird identification! The juveniles are hard, and look so different.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful photo on the puzzle box. Perfect for this time of year. I'm not good at puzzles so admire your ability to complete one. :-)
ReplyDeleteCats are so wonderful in snuggling on a lap. The materials are nice to have to start new work.
ReplyDeleteIn the last few years I have started to enjoy jigsaw puzzles and do a couple each year. They can become addictive,I find.
ReplyDeleteI have never been able to do puzzles! I know you will enjoy this one. The material is nice. Enjoy cuddling with the kitty these cold evenings!
ReplyDeleteBubbie looks so sweet sleeping there. I really enjoy puzzles. We used to have one going non-stop during the winter when I was a kid. Fun memories with mom. I've bookmarked the fabric site. Love the fabrics. I saw the squirrel right away.
ReplyDeleteRose, I am thinking of your granddaughter and praying she feels better very soon.
ReplyDeleteI like puzzles too. Both Richelle my second daughter and I---and she is really good at them. Last year I even got Bob to help out--he was good at it but cannot bribe him to do another. haha! 1000 pieces that is going to be hard.

I haven't done a puzzle in a long time. Cute kitty so cosy! Beautiful fabrics. Oh yes, I can see the rabbits!
ReplyDeleteYou like the kind of puzzles I hate. I like how they look but hate working 100's of pieces that all look a like in color and shape. I usually choose real colorful puzzles where everything is different....collages and such.
ReplyDeleteLove your kitty....I miss having a lap kitty.
Yes, I see the rabbit but can see how someone would miss it. Great fabrics!
