I may actually like the first one the best. I hate having to shoot against the sun, but there is something so cool about how he is sitting against the electrical wiring that really adds interest.
Great pictures---both of them. Hawks are interesting --but I don't like it when they come near my feeders searching for some lunch!!!!! Since they don't eat bird food ---I know they are looking for a BIRD to eat.... That's when I don't like them very much... Gotta protect my little birdies you know!!!
Hawks are interesting birds, but I don't like to see them around my house. I used to have one that would hang out waiting for my martins to have their babies. I don't know what happened to that one, but I do see them along the roads hanging on to fence posts or electric line posts, waiting for food to walk by. (rats, or whatever)
I am always elated to see a hawk. I think one has moved into one of the woods near our home and he has been a daily visitor, not necessarily at my feeders. xx, Carol
You're so right: light is so critical. I've got a tendency to only take photos on sunny days with good light. I just give up otherwise. So I salute you for carrying on. Your hawk on the fence post is lovely. It looks so dainty.
Thank you for visiting my blog...I hope you like it enough to take the time to comment. I enjoy comments so much, and always try to make a return visit.
...shooting into the sun is a fact of life!
ReplyDeletei actually like the blown out white sky from shooting into the sun.. it really is hard to do. the second shot he is a handsome hawk...
ReplyDeleteWe are seeing hawks circling high above the lawn. I think they are looking for bunnies. (sadly) You got a great photo!
