Not much happening...

I have had all those half square triangles on the design wall for ages...

(I would love to someday make a quilt like this...only I would use bigger half square triangles)

These were bonus half square triangles left from my daughters quilt top we finished in January of 2018.  Before my accident!  I finally sewed them into blocks today.
***********
I might as well say it...I played with these blocks some more.

I wish I had used any color but gray to do those in the middle of the quilt.  I would say I was using what I had on hand.  But I have about any color you would want on hand!  I am thinking strongly of using this layout...if I do, I will name it Eye of the Hurricane!  LOL

I truly love the blue and white. I would be dreaming up a way to use those lovely blocks. :-) I LOVE the eye of the hurricane. The design is perfect. But I'd be driven to redo the two on the bottom of the center so they all matched. I'm just weird like that, and that's why my ripper is never far. I wonder some days whether I sew more or rip more. :-) Anyway - hats off to your coming up with a great design.

  5. They are really pretty. The blue and white make me think nautical. I always loved wearing those colors.

  9. I love quilts, especially the older ones or those which were hand made. I am awed by small handmade stitches. Being a hand quilter myself, I appreciate the work and effort that goes into every one. It will be interesting to see what you finally decide to do.

  10. The HST is a great design. Maybe a leader-ender project? I do a lot of things that way that wouldn't get done otherwise. I love what you've done with the strings, and the name is perfect!
