Did you survive Christmas

I am sitting here watching Alone in the Wilderness....Documentary tells the story of Dick Proenneke who, in the late 1960s, built his own cabin in the wilderness at the base of the Aleutian Peninsula ...I have seen part of it before but not all of it.

Anyway, our tree and what few decorations I have are put away except the nativity set and my Christmas stocking.

***********

When you really look, you can tell he is in high spirits.

This was just a few seconds before...he had the entire tree shaking and his paws were just a blur.  It is as if were a young cat again.  If it is not the tree it is something else.  And we are having warm weather and it is in an out, in and out.  Roger said, "What is wrong with him?'  I asked him didn't he know?  Bubbie was wanting us to come outside and sit with him.  They just love for us to come and sit outside with them...they are perfectly content.

Well, I have to stop till I can watch this show...

  4. Alone in the Wilderness is definitely your kind of show! It seems the animals are all feeling quite frisky because of the warm weather. Yay! for getting Christmas tucked away for another year. After every thing here was packed and put away, wouldn't you know, I found one pretty ball from the tree hiding under the sofa.

Bubbie sure does look happy! I would normally dismantle my tree on the 6th of January - but as am over in Edin doing my care stint with father, it will have to wait until the 8th. Am going to see if I can find that show to view here - sound like something I'd like too. YAM xx

  6. Bubbie is so beautiful.. was your tree a live tree? it looks like it. the reason I ask is yesterday they had on our local news, that people can donate their trees to the Museum that also is set up like a homestead from the 1700's with goats. it seems the needles of the tree are full of vitamins and nutrients and the goats love them, the needles are also natural de-wormers. when I saw Bubbie in the first one all this poured in my mind and out on your blog. my little trees might last all through January. I wait until I am tired of looking at them, right now I love to stare at them

  7. It must be fun to watch Bubbie behaving like when he was a young kitten. We all love company including our pets.

  8. The Bubbie likes to play with the Christmas tree, I hope the decorated tree survived?
Fortunately, our Susi cat is very, very good in this regard!

  10. Our cats love it when we go outside, too. We get welcomed with purring and leg-rubs, as if to say they are happy we have finally realized that it is much nicer outside than in the house!

  11. I love your kitty. We had cats for years, but have been pet-free for the last few. Sometimes, I think I want to get another kitty. They are so fun to watch. I am a new follower coming over from Karen's blog. Have a great week - the last couple of days of 2019!

  12. Our weather has also turned warm, (upper 60's) and I am in lower middle Tennessee. It doesn't feel like winter and I am loving it. I know it won't last long and the miserable cold weather will return. But for right now, I am grateful for a few good days.

  14. I know that I would love Bubbie! He reminds me a little of our Bickett. I miss Bickett so much. I still think you should have Christmas cards made from the picture of Bubbie and the Christmas tree in your last post. That would be so cute! We did have a good Christmas. Hard to believe it's over. It is warm here too. In the 70's yesterday and today! That is so strange. Happy New Year.
