A bit of this and that...
I decided to do one more puzzle....it is a hard one for me. I have not been able to sit and work very much, but when I do, it is very slow going. If I don't change, I will be next month getting it worked.
******************
We took backroads home...by the the dam, and by Mansfield, on through Bridgeton...We saw 4 Bald Eagles, two of which were juvenile. I put my best shots of one of them over on my other blog.
The one above was the first one we saw...not far off the highway.
There were gulls...
as well as white fronted geese. It is the first time for me to see white fronted geese up there. There were also some Canada Geese but they were not where I could photograph them.
Not much as been happening...we are almost totally over our colds. I never did get the coughing part, but I think some of Roger's coughing is from the cold. With that chronic cough, it is hard to tell if it is his normal cough or it is a cold.
Lorelei is here for the night...so that has made our weekend! I hope yours is a good weekend.

Love your eagle and geese pictures! I spent January coughing, but thankfully the cough and the cold that went with it are finally gone. Definitely grateful!
ReplyDeleteIt is 1,000 pieces! We don't work those, they are just so hard! But it seems that all the best puzzles are 1,000. The kitty is our Simba!! How long does 1,00 take you? OH, was it you who told me that you do not work the border first? We tried your system and like it! Great Eagle photos! I have never seen a real white fronted Goose.

ReplyDeleteLovely little outing when you can get shots like these! I do love puzzles - but hardly ever do 'hard' copy - having the online version to keep me entertained! YAM xx
Enjoy your overnight guest!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos of the birds. They are such entertaining creatures!
It's always a great day when Lorelei visits!! The bird pictures are relaxing.

so very happy L is visiting. have a wonderful time with her. I can see where this coughing thing the two of us have would be much worse on someone with chronic cough. so far today, I had one coughing attack that woke me up, but none since. we are both feeling a lot better, we both still have the sinus headaches, they come an go. but much better. glad you are too
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYou can see some fantastic sightings on those back roads. Love the eagles and the geese. Have fun with Lorelei. Happy weekend!
Lovely pictures. I have found that some puzzles just are hard to get into.

ReplyDeleteYou are off to a good start with the puzzle. Maybe Lorelei can help with it. I love cat puzzles. Your picture of the eagle is just beautiful! You really know how to find and photograph the birds. Enjoy your granddaughter time!
I'm sure you will have fun with Lorelei.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend wishes :)
All the best Jan
You got a great picture of the Eagle! Also the geese.
ReplyDeleteThe puzzle looks hard but Cobble Hill puzzles usually fit well. I hope you enjoy doing it even if it takes a while. I wonder if Lorelei will be into working on it.
These big birds are just awesome (and so are the little song birds around my feeders)! I love your bird pictures! Those puzzles with 1,000 pieces almost wear me out!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see an eagle in person. They are so beautiful. Glad Lorelei is there. I was going to ask about her. She grew up so fast, but they all do. Lorelei reminds me so much of our sweet granddaughter Madison. Glad you both are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGreat bird sightings! And Bud & I started a jigsaw also. It's a mystery riddle (once all put together it will show the answer). And it's good to read you both are, getting over your winter colds.
ReplyDeleteHope you & your granddaughter had loads of fun.
Glad you are both recovering so well. Really really love your geese photo :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a difficult puzzle. Love to see the feathered critters.
ReplyDeleteHaven't worked much on our latest puzzle either but we will eventually get around to finishing it. I like just having one out to work on every so often.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are both feeling better!!
We had a great weekend vising our son in NC.
I am doing a puzzle right now Rose and I really enjoy them. I liked your eagle photos a whole lot. I am always amazed when I see one as it is so rare for me. Fun to see the gulls and geese also. I am very happy to hear you and Roger are almost over your colds and will be 100 percent real soon. Enjoy your granddaughter and have a great week and a great weekend with Lorelei.
ReplyDeleteBig puzzle---1000 pieces would be time consuming for me. Good luck. So glad Lorelee comes to visit. she is a sweetie

That is a large variety of birds to see. The hawk photo is unusual. Puzzle fun.
ReplyDeleteOne of my playtime with kids is joining the puzzles!!! Sometimes its tuff, but we make sure it's completed. Your puzzle looks different, where did you get it from would love to buy. Those eagle and geese pictures are just amazing!!! Hope Roger will be fit n fine. Cheers Enjoy!!!

I love all your pictures. I am wondering what camera you have used for picturing them. The images are so clear without any distractions.
