Irises

Just the other day,  Monday in fact...I had just one iris bloom...I walked out there today and there were all of these.

Since it was overcast, I could see my screen.  I think there is one bloom I did not get in the photo above.  Since it was overcast, I could see my screen.

I quickly focused on one bloom and snapped.  These are with my phone, as was the one the other day.

I am still working on leaves...or going to work more.  Yesterday I pressed all the ones I have made, and trimmed them to size.  Today I put them all back up on the design wall.  First thinking I was just going to use what I have made and that be it.  But I need four more to make it square.  So, I am going to make four more and I really think that will be all I make.  By the time they  are stitched together it will be a very small quilt.

I know this video will not be everyone's cup of tea, but the first part where the kids are in the chicken house cracks me up.   I

  6. I have a similar Iris but it's not as big and beautiful as yours which is truly amazing. My Irises are far from the blooming stage as yet. It's very cool and often cloudy so it will take time.

  11. Nice photo.

A little feedback: In my opinion look to the background if u take a photo. Often some inches left or right of the motive have a big impakt.

    Take care

    Best regards

regarding Sheldon and Matilda the chicken....I just watched Mary and her neighbour in the same chicken house, drinking wine cooler and smoking because Mary had a big problem! The neighbour was so darn shocked that Mary was even smoking...

  19. Your iris’ are gorgeous. I really must plant some in our garden when we can. Yours are such a gorgeous color. Still busy with your leaves, looking forward to seeing more of them. Young Sheldon is a favorite around here. That young man comes from not too far away from our area. He is such a lovely young man, having seen him on a chat show recently. Not sure if it was a repeat.
