Flower moon...

I don't even remember what made me look for the moon night before last...but I did look.  And I could see it through the clouds....and was a clear shot when I first looked.  It took only about a dozen steps to pick up my camera and a dozen to get back outside and the clouds were moving...I give you  three of the best versions I took.  Above is the first.

And here are he 2nd and 3rd...

A bit different to the usual moon shots.

I was texting with Lorelei's mom last night and had not mentioned the moon, and she sent me the following shot...

She took it on her way to work yesterday morn...

  5. I love the moon photos where it is partly obscured by dark clouds.
I'm forever craning my neck and trying to see the moon through the skylight over the bed. There's just something about the moon that intrigues me.

  6. It is always a guessing game as to what you can take. We have been having a lot of clouds. Tonight it is just too cold.

  7. I love your pictures of the moon! I did hear that it was a special moon a couple of nights ago. I have tried to get moon pictures before and never got a good one. Yours are beautiful! I love your daughter's picture too. I always thought it was strange when we see the moon in the daytime. Thanks for sharing these!

  11. I love your three pictures and the one your daughter took. Looks like she is driving in to see the moon. My little camera will not take good pictures of the moon.

  12. Great photos. When I was headed to bed, with the lights out and the blinds closed, the moon lit up the room. It’s the last super moon this year.

  14. I like your moon photos with the wisps of clouds. I was told to watch for the full moon as it was meant to be beautiful this month - all we got were clouds with the hint of moonlight peeping through in places. Nature doesn't like to be predictable :)

  16. I often say to Tom that I should have a camera around my neck at all times. As you say, by the time you fetch it the moment has gone.
    Love the morning moon picture.

  17. Great moon shots, I agree Rose, and you must have a very good zoom on your camera. Unfortunately, the longest zoom on my digital camera is 4x and would never capture shots like these...but years ago I had camera that could, but no more.
