It's a boy!

I would like for you to meet our new Grand Furbaby:

As of right now his name is Copper.  He is a rescue...

Daughter drove to Dayton, Ohio to meet the people to pick him up last night.

Guess what?  He likes to watch TV, too.  We drove over to meet him today.

She sent this after we had been gone about 45 minutes or so.    They were worn out.

I am so glad she got him....he is an intelligent puppy.  Delta likes him and he likes her.  He does howl...she is going to crate him at night or when she is gone.  And she plans to come home at lunch for a while to check on him, take him out, give him food.

While dog sitting those two weeks, I got a lot of hexies ready to make 'flowers'....

And actually finished one yesterday.  It is somewhat of a struggle for me to see to hand stitch, but I do like to do it.

That is all for now...have a good week ahead.

  12. Copper is beautiful, how old is he? looks about half grown already and my jaw dropped when he was watching TV with Delta. so happy to see them snuggling. he will be great company once she gets him trained and able to leave out in the house... they are both so beautiful. want to hug them.. I am having trouble with seeing even with my glasses, up close work like sewing would be hard to do. i have the fonts really big on my kindle to be able to read a book, ask your daughter for lots more photos to see how Copper grows

  13. I am a firm believer that if you have one dog, you should have two. Dogs need canine friends. Great that they are friends already. I like making hexies. I should get mine out again. I just finished a hand sewing project.

  15. I too thought Copper was a Tempi (CM/Jean) - great that that Delta accepts the new puppy - and of course anything you create with fabric is always good to see... Hexies seem to quite the thing to do when you've either travelling or away from your machinery...

  18. Oh what a sweet sweet doggie. And delta seems love him too. Rescues are wonderful.
Bob had a ugly thing on his chest and finally I talked him into seeing a dermatologist and it was sarcoma---cancer. They did the pathology there and then a few hours later did the Mohs surgery and from a softball circumference sized cut they cot it all and pulled the skin together and sewed him up. I got to watch and I do like surgery or to watch anyway. So now he has a scar on his chest but is OK!
