I wish there was a way to share the feeling of standing under the dogwood tree. It is almost as if you are living in another world.
For some reason I have not taken near the number of photos this year. so I thought I best take a few more before they begin lose their petals.

And even with this iris....I took a photo of it over a week ago but forgot to post it. So I took another one today. I don't remember how I came to have this color. I may have got a mixed bag of bulbs.
The sun was bright and shining today...I did a bit of weeding, and tying up of the iris blooms. Before I started to work, I sat on the porch a minute, and tried to call the Little Mama but no luck. Did not see her anywhere. When I got done, I sat a minute to cool down, looked across the streed and there she came. So I got to visit with her a little bit but I did not take any new pics.. I should have though. I had a bright coral teashirt on and could see it reflected in her eyes.
I hope that all of you have a good week ahead.
Are they yours? So beautiful! And I have heard it is hard to keep dogwood healthy.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lovely day. My dogwood is a darker pink, not as many blooms this year due to all the late freezes. Your iris is beautiful! I miss mine from the old house.
ReplyDeleteThat dogwood is gorgeous. I used to have quite a few iris but over the years I've lost quite a few of them. All were ones that I had gotten from my dads garden.
ReplyDeletethat dogwood is gorgeous. I know how you must feel standing under it, because i get that feeling when I walk around under the sea grape and look out at the yard from under the branches. it can be magical.
ReplyDeletePretty!
ReplyDeleteIt would be wonderful to be able to capture that feeling standing under those gorgeous blooms. Incredibly beautiful for sure.
ReplyDeleteTime with that squirrel is precious for sure! Those creatures bring nature to life for us.
Those flowers are so beautiful, especially the dogwood. I have always loved dogwood so much. When my parents were alive they lived in a wooded area that was full of wild dogwoods. I tried to grow one but it died after a couple of years. Take care rose!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I always wish the blooms lasted longer than they do.
ReplyDeleteYour dogwood and iris are gorgeous! I know what you mean about standing underneath a dogwood tree. I just wrote about them from one of the gardens we go to. I love them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pink blooms, The dogwood trees are looking lovely here too. Love the iris, pretty color. Take care, have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThat pink dogwood is simply beautiful! I had forgotton about our pink dogwood that died year before last. Made me sick. That is such an unusual colored Iris. It's so pretty. Glad you did see Little Mama. She is adorable.
ReplyDeleteOH that gorgeous Iris!!!
ReplyDeleteJust this morning my eldest daughter gave me 2 branches of pink Dogwood blossoms. So lovely.
Your pictures are very pretty. My Dogwood isn't looking very good. I think it's gotten so old, and there's so much dead in it; this could be the last year. It's a shame, cause as you say the pink is always so pretty. LOVE the Iris. Mine are up, but hardly any blossoms yet. A bit early for here. I have solid purple, the large double ones. I love it when they're all blooming.
