I have been trying to do a post every other day....looks like even that is not going to be consistent. Anyway, I had these shots to post...of my finished little quilted thing...
and below is the back again.
Notice the dark line at the top? That is where I got a fabric scrap under the quilt and did not realize it...so sewed it to the quilt with the quilting. I told Roger that is my signature...I don't think I have quilted a single thing without doing that. If it is for me, I leave it. I just trim the excess away. Funny thing is, I kind of like it.
There are people that will layer several fabrics together and quilt a design. Then maybe in one area, cut away the top fabric...and in another cut away two layers. and in another area cut away 3 of the layers. It is definitely interesting.
I like it too. Your own fabric signature.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giggle. I'd much rather pick up extract fabric versus flip the back under...of course when you try to "add your signature" on purpose you will probably forget ;o)
ReplyDeleteI love it! And it is your special signature.
ReplyDeleteIt is really pretty on both sides and I told you on your other post the other day I really like the backside it would be nice to have a Clock like that just think how many different pillows you can put on it. Makes me feel better to know that you forgot to do your post ha ha I am the queen of forget right now
ReplyDeleteI like it too. It looks like a logo.
ReplyDeleteI love the piece and the signature is unique. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIf it was for me that wouldn't bother me at all, but if you were to give it away you could hand sew a label over it. I like the quilt tops pattern and quilting, very nice, was the top a pattern or did you design it yourself?
ReplyDeleteI like your character mark..keep it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely quilt. Thanks for showing us.
Sue
I like it too :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I like because it is unique. Keep it as your trademark.

This is a gorgeous quilt. I just trim off the stowaways too. They add character to the quilt.
