Blooming now....

Neither of the pics show the true color...specially the Asiatic Lily above.  It has a more pink hue than this shows, and is not near the color that it was last year.  I still like it.

Below is another Asiatic lily, and while it is closer to the true color than the above, it is almost too pink and vibrant.

Even if they change from year to year, it is fun to see how they come out each year.

It just stormed for a bit...Copper was not the least bit happy.   I sure feel bad for him when it storms or when there are fireworks.

I have not done a lot today...made an apple crisp this afternoon.  I want to make some peanut butter cookies sometime in the coming weeks.  I forget how much I love them sometimes.

I hope everyone has a great weekend...

  1. Oh wow, that’s gorgeous Rose! The color may have altered in your photo but it looks exquisite to me. Storms and fireworks are touch on our furry family. We used to put the radio on really loud for our dog. Looking back he was probably scared of that too but I hope not. Apple crisp sounds like a perfect dessert, and peanut butter cookies is one of my favorites too. Wishing you all a peaceful and very blessed Memorial Day Weekend with your loved ones.

  2. Whatever color they are, they're simply gorgeous.
Poor Copper. It's always heartbreaking seeing dogs struggle through storms.
Apple crisp sounds yummy but then so do peanut butter cookies.

  5. What pretty lillies (I didn't know they could change colour like that). Poor Copper - my brother's little dog Rusty is absolutely terrified of thunder and loud noises. They just don't understand where the noise is coming from. Mxx

  10. Pretty, I just watched a deer eat some of mine. They just take a little sampling and move on.
