Have you seen those big metal roosters for yards? Ones similar to THIS? the ones I see are between 3 and 4 ft tall. I wish I knew someone that had one I could borrow and put in the back yard. I would dearly love to see Copper's reaction to one. I really do not know what he would do, but I bet it would be fun to watch.
This morn he found a nest of baby rabbits right at the corner of the patio in under a clump of daisies. They were not baby babies...he does not have the instinct to kill that Delta did and pokes at them to get a reaction. Rachel put him back inside and they hopped out of the yard. But they were still little...mabye 5 or 6 inches long!
Glad he didn't try to hurt them. Just petting them!
ReplyDeleteI saw my first bunny of the season a couple doors down this week.
Amazing to have rabbits in the yard! It would be interesting to watch Cooper’s reaction!
ReplyDeleteI miss having chickens in the yard, but I think I would prefer to stick to the real ones LOL.
ReplyDeleteYes, it would be funny to watch Copper's reaction! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad he didn't hurt the rabbits.
So sweet! Around here, there are all kind and sizes of the metal roosters. And a real one across the street.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Copper didn't harm those baby rabbits. Seeing his reaction to a large rooster could be hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI've seen those metal roosters. It would be interesting to see what he would do. We had baby bunnies in the back yard one time. I had a lab at the time. I caught him with a baby bunny in his mouth. He didn't hurt it but not sure what he would have done had I not caught him.
ReplyDeleteall of our dogs but Max, Jake, Cooper would have killed the rabbits or a chicken, Beau and Big boy and Baby would just poke to see what they were. these are fine looking chickens and Bob said they had some of these and they were nasty little peckers. ha ha
ReplyDeleteHow I would love to have one of those chicken sculptures in my back yard. They're great! Come to think of it I would love to have real live chickens but can't do that as we are too close to the neighbors, and I think it would cause an uproar. I'm kidding around really, if we had a house in the country, I would definitely look into it but it's just a pipe dream. We came across baby bunnies once. I think I read something about bunny mothers leaving them to fend for themselves very early. Copper's a good dog :)
ReplyDeleteReally nice sculptures that would look perfect in the backyard.

Those metal roosters do look good.
ReplyDeletePleased that Copper didn't hurt the rabbits.
All the best Jan
Beautiful blog
ReplyDeleteRose, I've seen those big roosters. I think Tractor Supply sells them. Cooper sounds like a big sweet baby. That's how Eli is...very gentle. Now Ellie would love to catch something like a rabbit. :(
ReplyDeleteI have one of those roosters but it's not that tall, I bought it when we were down in Texas a few years ago.
