The one thing I miss since moving here is roads like this being only a stone's throw away. Roads where I could just stop and take a photo almost any time I wanted...but still I do not regret the move. I am not saying that at all. Even before the move I seldom went for a drive the previous year.
Today I have not did a single productive thing...
I remember your wonderful country road posts!!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you miss it...who says we have to do anything more productive than enjoy the day? Plus I don't believe you. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI am with you, but did not move. Our roads that were like this are gone and replaced by highways, our long rides on weekends are gone forever. I get so nervous in all our traffic I just stay home
ReplyDeleteI love roads like that. I should start searching them out and traveling them. Usually when I think of it though, I have something in the car that needs to get home and be refrigerated.
ReplyDeleteLove the view looking down the road! I like driving on the back country roads here. Take care, have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI think we all need one of those days periodically!
ReplyDeleteMakes me think of the song "Country Roads". I think there is something magical about those types of winding roads and all of nature surrounding them.
ReplyDeleteOur Sunday was the exact same thing as yours..napped in front of the tv and got totally bored watching nothing in particular.

I'd love to find a quiet road like the one in your picture. Seems all the country roads are busy with people in a big hurry and it's not possible to drive slowly and appreciate the surroundings.
ReplyDeleteIt's a new week and new challenges, right?
Lovely country road!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely road shot. Remembering the moves we have had I know something of how you feel, even though you are enjoying being where you are right now. There are times it is very nice not being productive, just relaxing. Our bodies let us know when we need this. Good for you!
