Over the Rainbow Sky Watch Friday

It's another Sky Watch edition! And I could not settle for just two or three photographs. I am sorry if they are a bit monotonous. These are from slides...from several years ago. This is one of the most brilliant double rainbows I have ever seen--these photos do not do it justice. By the time I got to this place to take the photos the second rainbow was starting to fade a bit....

I have tried to manipulate the photos a bit but just could not do much with them. I am sure from lack of skill on my part. I may try at a later date with some other software. As usual each photo should enlarge when clicked.

To join the fun, see Tom at Wigger's World.

This is a nice series Rose. I find rainbows difficult to photograph.
BTW the comment you left on my blog made perfect sense :)
I have enjoyed you other posts as well - the covered bridges are amazing; that avenue of trees is incredible and so I can go on. Have a great weekend.

I am now taking a diminishing dose of steroids for my Rheumatoid Arthritis pain and it works. I believe the chemotherapy drug is spelled "Methotrexate" that is used to treat a lot of things from cancer to arthritis will be used next. I just relish in being pain free.

So I am not participating in Sky Watch Friday just because I might not be able to make it around to all.

I enjoyed seeing your blog post for Sky Watch Friday and I thought your photography was excellent. A remarkable set of photos.

I don't know if you like to read or not but if you do this place is amazing.

I just got my first shipment of used books from Strand's bookstore in New York City, yesterday. They have 18 miles of used books. Think about that. Anyway, they got here and I am totally happy with those I chose to read. I had to start out by just choosing a category, like photography, and go from there. I don't know how in the world they can keep track of so many books.

Look up Strand bookstore or copy and paste the URL here: http://www.strandbooks.com/app/www/p/home/

I have to admit that the song "Over the rainbow" has never been a favourite of mine but your photos are just superb!

quilly said...

Lovely. You and Carletta both showed me up, but I am posting mine anyway -- tomorrow when it really is Friday here.

I love the music. I am sitting here in Iz's home territory. His funeral was held at the beach I can see from my living room window.
