From my back yard...

This is a tree I see daily from my back yard...it is over across the alley and up a couple houses. I took this last week after it had rained...I took it on the 8th and this is the 12th. I can tell it has lost some of its leaves since then. My husband had a doctor's appointment in Terre Haute today...we were almost rendered speechless by some of the trees that were beyond description. Just so glorious in their autumn colors.

I don't know if it was my imagination or not, but it seemed to me that there was more color right along the highway than when looking farther off the road. I really hope I can get time to go for a few drives over the next few days.

  1. I just love the fall colors. Seems like there's a few trees that have changed a lot and some of them aren't even beginning to change.

  2. The trees are especially beautiful this year. And last weekend was so sunny that the trees were stunning. It's so exhilarating!

  3. This one is simply gorgeous! How nice that you can see it every day! I went looking for some color yesterday, but we still have more green than anything else.

  4. A beautiful autumn shot. Especially like how the branches move up through the frame and the variation in leaf color. A image.

  5. A beautiful red!
I was at my Mom's all day yesterday and the drive there - about an hour - was pretty but only a red here and there. I thought I would get my Mom's two trees in her front yard but in a week's time the leaves had almost all fallen.
I'm going to go out to before it's too late.

  7. It's really looking like fall in your area. Not much happening here yet.
