I am posting a little bit early again for Sepia Scenes, but we will be down at Sarah's again tomorrow if nothing happens so I thought I would post it now while I had the chance. I thought I would show you one of the photos as it was taken.
I first tried them in sepia a week or so ago, and thought I really liked them better. Then tonight at first glance I wasn't sure, but the more I look, the more I think I do prefer the sepia tones.
I am sorry I keep posting barns, but I really am not having much time to work on photography...I am really anxious to try something besides barns/outbuildings some time soon. I hope.
If you want to join or see more sepia scenes, go see Maryt/the teach at Sepia Scenes or click on the badge at the top of this post.
I think they are lovely both ways.
ReplyDeleteI really like both too, but is the side of the barn in the 1st shot painted like that or is it an effect that you added? It almost looks like a partial sepia w/ the rest of the pic in black & white. And I like your barn shots!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for helping me last night - I'm so happy that I learned something new about this stuff! ;)
Old barns are a perfect choice Rose - don't apologize for using them. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the last one - it was a great shot to start with.
I'll post mine this evening.
Keep posting barns.... I love them.
ReplyDeleteOh I adore barns so don't apologize!! These are awesome photos and sepia tones works very well with them!

Your barn theme is terrific. Keep clicking away. Though the sepia is good, the original strikes me as very unusual. I'm glad you shared both.
ReplyDeleteI love old barns, as you know! And these look great in sepia. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat sepia shots, I love old barns.
ReplyDeleteThe subject is definitely appropriate for sepia, but I can see how you'd be conflicted. If you really want to be undecided, try that first one in black and white! I always have a tough time deciding between the two.
ReplyDeleteI like both and love barns. I just posted my first sepia scene and I am happy to learn to look at photos in a different way..
ReplyDeleteYou and your brother both have great talents. Your pictures are gorgeous. I like barn pictures--so keep doing them!!!

I'm not the least bored with your barns.. each and everyone of them is taken nicely and it gets me more interested :)
ReplyDeleteI like the natural look too, but sepia is associated with "old" and thus fits the subject matter very well. Nice work in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteI love barns in sepia, Rose! Very nice job! I think I prefer the sepia. :)
