She's got nerve

First of all, I did NOT take these pictures...they are of my daughter and her tandem partner/instructor. A few years ago, she and one of her friends decided they wanted to try skydiving. So they looked into it and decided to do a tandem jump--that is where you have a little bit of training and then are harnessed in with someone who is an experienced jumper.
She did enjoy it, but hasn't gone again. I think she was most amazed by the quietness...

  1. She sure has the nerve, flying like a bird. The picture has come out very well.

  2. My goodness! I have friends who met skydiving and then married. They stopped skydiving once they learned they were about to be parents. ;-)

  6. These are fine action shots. I love the hazy view of earth in the top photo. She managed a nice smile so it appears she was enjoying the experience.

  7. I can see why a person might want to do that once. Good for your daughter -- she did it and hasn't done it since. She's both brave and smart.

  9. How brave she is. She does look like she had a good time too. Once is enough I guess.

My late husband was a farrier for awhile and used to make his own horseshoes. He really like working in the fire.

In answer to your question about Swans. The Tundra Swan is a little bit smaller than the Trumperter. Trumpeter is about 6ft in length while the Tundra is around 4.5ft. Also if you look quick the Tundra (adult) has a yellow spot in front of the eye.
We have more Trumpeter than Tundra here for the winter but they stay together so it is hard to tell who is who. MB
