Hi
We have been shopping for a new tiller...cannot make up our mind what to get...don't want to spend a small fortune...it is more important to have $700 to spend on a broke kitty leg as we did Christmas time of 2008...everyone knows that a cat is a warm sleeping companion, a good alarm clock, a heating pad....besides being a major entertainer of Lorelei.
In all seriousness, we have such a small garden spot...yet we are getting older; if Roger weren't here, I am not sure I could deal with a front tine tiller by myself. I have did it in the past a time or two, but it wasn't fun back then. I really don't think the Mantis tines would last--the tines were not very heavy at all. So we will do some more thinking. Maybe we will run into a good used tiller. We really don't have to have one....
In the meantime, I will show you these turtles we saw last weekend.
When I first started visiting Mary's Faith, Fabric, and Photos, she had posted a lot of turtle pictures...gee, that must have been about 2 years ago. I would sit and try to count all the turtles, just for the fun.
I have not had the opportunity to take any myself till I spotted these on our ride back home last weekend...
but still, not near equal to the number of turtles in some of Mary's posts.

That's quite a line up... turtle to turtle! Loved the video of Lorelei...as always!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe I have ever seen so many turtles in one place!
ReplyDeleteLoverly smilie Lorelei is sure gettng more and more confident in every post Rose...
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and yours Rose... we have 4 of the grandchildren over tonight... Our son's partner had 3 children when he met her and with our Malakai stopping over each Saturday it made sense to give his mum and dad a rest and have the other 3 stop over as well... they are now a big part of the family and bring us much happiness... ha! and a lot of noise.
Happy Easter to you and yours Rose
Did you count these? There are a lot of the little critters there. We had many turtles in a canal that ran behind our home in Ft. Lauderdale, but people came from other areas and captured them to make turtle soup.
ReplyDeleteThe video of Lorelei saying hi made me chuckle. He really got her going with the "hi", didn't she?
ReplyDeleteThat's the most turtles I've seen in one place. I saw three turtles on a log one time.
I think you're giving Mary a run for the money when it comes to catching turtles on a log. These are great pictures. The video of Lorelei is cute. I hope you have a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, Good Luck with your tiller... Hopefully, you can find a good used one.
ReplyDeleteThat video of Lorelei saying HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII is so cute. I just love all of her cute little clothes.
Love your turtle photos --and Mary's.... They do love sunning themselves on logs, don't they???
Happy Easter.
Hugs,
Betsy
Those turtles just love to take in the sun. Cute video! Have a wonderful Easter.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a crop of turtles, Rose! I read Mary's blog, too, and I'm astounded at the number of turtles she finds. Must be that good Evansville weather! =)
ReplyDeleteLove Lorelei's video. What a little doll!
hi HI hi HI!!!! very cute.
ReplyDeleteLotsa turtle. I wish we had some sun out this way. High in the 40s--brrrr!
Happy Easter, Rose.... MB
LOL...if you come visit me, I promise to show you all the turtles you could possibly want to count at the wetlands :-) I guess I should have put my turtle header back up when we got home from Arizona, but I felt I needed a change to something spring looking. Isn't it awful trying to decide on things like tillers? Our lawn tractor was barely working last year and we haven't tried it yet this year. I do hope we don't need a new one! Soooooo expensive. I'd op for a kitties leg, too. I'd probably lose weight if we'd buy one of those old fashioned push mowers for our acre of grass! LOL
ReplyDeleteLorelei is still so cute!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any turtles yet this year! I did see a muskrat this morning but was too slow with my camera to catch it.
Cute video of Lorelei!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen so many turtles in one spot.
I've never seen so many turtles at once, either. I am afraid if I had a tiller, I would go hog wild and then regret it. Gardening takes a lot of energy. I planted a perennial garden only to have 80% of it die.
ReplyDeleteThe turtles are great! I'll have to come back for the movies when my husband isn;t asleep on the couch.
