Views from the inside.....

If I have said it once I have probably said it a hundred times...that I would love to be able to view the inside of this barn. Friday that opportunity arose.
When we passed it on our way to Mansfield from Bridgeton, a lady was there working on a flowerbed at the end of the barn. We ask for permission to see inside and she said to go right ahead.
It did not belong to her, but she had known the owner all her life...she lived close to it and said they always keep an eye on it.
She did know that it was over 100 yrs old and had been a horse barn.

I am so thankful to her for letting us look around...

  2. The barn is in remarkable shape for being that old. I'm glad you were able to look inside -- it's as interesting on the inside as it is on the outside.

  4. I'm so happy you got to see the inside Rose... I have asked a local farmer if I can take pictures of the farm buildings but he keeps saying no.... he dose not live their any more but rents out the barn and stables.... the old farm house is being left to rot in places which is such a shame.

  6. Looks like a barn! ;-)

And not being used at the moment...not bad shape, either, for being that old.

Wonder if someone will renovate it...

  7. Nice to see an old barn that is still being cared for. The structure looks to be in great shape.
