Another Hoosier Homestead...

On one of the few drives we have taken this winter, we came across this Hoosier Homestead..it is north of us. I am not sure which county it is in though. A Hoosier Homestead is one that has been owned by the same family for a hundred years or more.
I would love to know the stories these farms could tell. Imagine living here a hundred years ago in the weather we have been having. I often wonder would I have been strong enough to survive.
I suppose though, if you had never known any different, it would not seem as hard as we think it would be now.

Or even if I were younger, I would not look at it as such hard way to live. I think I have become soft as I age.

A really stately old house.
It would have been hard to keep warm in that big of a house back then. Brrr....

If there was someone willing, I could sit & listen to the stories from that old house for hours! =) Great find, Rose!

You have become soft, but I'm sure you're much wiser! :-) I like the homestead shot very much. What a nice thing to have these places identified and marked so well. Fine pictures.

I didn't know that about Hoosier Homesteads. Will have to look for signs like that. A great looking place for the age!

Hmmm. I think most of us become soft as we age, Rose. I like the farms name!
