There was a party.....

In the previous post, I showed a few pictures of Lorelei from the past two years...her birthday was actually the other day...but her party was not until today....we went over yesterday and spent the night there...to hopefully help prepare for the party.

These photos are from today...the theme was Olivia...the TV Pig....that is her on Lorelei's t-shirt.
The first couple here was taken before the party...right after she got dressed. She was not in the mood to really pose...was more in the mood to goof off....
I captured the one above...she was being so goofy....I captured it and was going to try to get a picture of the look on her face but my battery died! I was so happy that I captured even this one of her 'posing'.... She is just so funny.
I was not in position to get her face....the house was totally full. I think besides Roger and I there were at least 40 people there...counting half a dozen children. I wish I had had a video of her opening presents....if it was a gift bag she would just rip the tissue paper from it and throw it over her shoulder....if there were clothes, they got throwed over her shoulder, too!

The clothes part was really funny, cause she really likes clothes. She was just focused on toys and opening more presents. Which shows how much she has changed in less than two months. At Christmas, she would open a present and not really be interested in the next...she just wanted to play with whatever she had opened. Today, she was perfectly fine with going from one gift to the next.
This is her with her mommy and her little cousin, Ellie...isn't Ellie adorable???
And here we have the birthday cup cakes....believe it or not, I think Lorelei was more interested in the decorations than in the cupcake/frosting....

What a neat party.. I cannot believe that she is TWO already... Gee--how time flies!!!!! Glad you and Roger made it to the party --but of course, you would never have missed it... ha

Love those cupcakes--and the way they are displayed. I've never seen such a thing....

I'm sure Lorelei has so many new toys now that she doesn't have a clue which to play with first...

Thanks for taking us to the party also... She's adorable.
Hugs,
Betsy

When I read this post two thoughts entered my mind:

1. Lorelei is a dear, adorable, well loved child; and

2. Is that a drum set I see?

I think it's wonderful that you were able to share Lorelei birthday party with her and her friends. It looks as if the party was a great success. Lorelei is as precious as ever.

What a nice set of party pictures. Too bad that battery gave up right when you needed it! Wonderful details of Lorelie's chnaged modus operandi relative to opening the gifts. Nice post.

Very cute! Kids do change so much at her age. I bet she was excited to be the centre of attention.

I went to a birthday party for a three-year-old boy. He was the same as Lorelei, opening gifts and tossing them aside to go on to the other gifts. I really like the first picture you posted of Lorelei.

Love the second shot!
I watch cupcake wars on TV and I love the idea of them instead of a cake.

What a fun party! I laugh at the idea of her tossing stuff over her shoulder! LOL So cute. What a doll she is and what joy she brings to all who are around her....even those of us who only know her through your blog!

It looks like she had a lot of fun Rose. I really like the cupcake display, what a cute idea instead of a cake...especially with kids.
