From this past weekend...

Sarah and Lorelei came for a visit this past weekend....Sarah and her dad managed to get in a little mushroom hunting.
This first bunch is what Sarah found...
and Roger found these.  They were delicious!

Not a lot is going on in our world...I just started therapy for my right shoulder/arm.  I have no idea what I did, but have very limited movement with it.  And I hurt it often.  I hope I have some quick results with the therapy but did just start so am sure it is going to take a little while at least.

We put out some tomato plants yesterday along with some bell peppers.  I should say Roger put them out....I only supervised;-)  I am already anxious for fresh tomatoes.

  1. really odd looking mushrooms, and new to me. glad you got a visit from L, and sorry to hear about your shoulder, mine did the same thing in 06 in first one shoulder then the other, i did my own therapy, i had them show me what to do, and it took about 6 months to go away, but it did get better,

  2. I'm glad the mushrooms were delicious. I know so little about mushrooms, I would never feel comfortable picking my own! :-) I hope that shoulder improves quickly.

  3. I've never seen mushrooms like that. They look like sponges.

  4. Gee --I have really missed you. Wondered how you were doing. Sorry about your shoulder. Is that the same one you had a problem with about a year ago? So sorry... Prayers for you.

How do you know what mushrooms you can eat and which ones you can't???? I've never seen mushrooms that look like that.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  5. These look like sponges on a stick! Have you had your shoulder M.R.I.ed or a C.T.? It sounds a bit like a torn rotator cuff, I have tears in both my shoulders and it is really really common in women.

  9. I photograph mushrooms in the wild, but I only eat mushrooms that I buy in the grocery store!

I hope that your shoulder heals soon!
