First of all, I wanted to inform you that after the little house wrens got their nest about half-way built, they quit coming. I have no idea why. I heard them around, but not on the porch. Today I have yet to hear them anywhere else. Even though I mostly regret that they didn't raise their babies, in ways I am relieved that I don't have to worry about one of my cats getting one. So, I will just try to be happy with the situation.

I started out with just one iris this color...now look at them! Same with that one in the upper left-hand corner. I had one of them and now probably have half a dozen. I LOVE how they multiply.
I just hope it holds true for the one below.
It was in variety bag that I got a few years ago. It is a beauty.
They are all actually slowing down...on the downhill side of blooming. Not very many buds left on any of the colors now. I sure have loved them. They are one of my favorite flowers...along with pansies, hibiscus, foxglove, cone flowers, gladiolas....you get the idea: you name it and it is usually a favorite.
OH, they are stunning!!!! I LOVE them!!! They are blooming here now, too. But yours are the BEST!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful irises. We have had alot blooming recently also. SO pretty. I love that light lavender color... Pretty!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your wrens. Wonder if one of the kitties scared them off...
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
both are beautiful, and i am like you, each time i see a flower, that one is my favorite... that second one is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty....I've not seen one like the 2nd one. Very nice colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! These are my favourite flowers no matter the colour. Yours are simply stunning and I'm completely green with envy.
ReplyDeleteThe lavender ones are lovely but that bottom one has a gorgeous color although it's rather fall like in appearance.
ReplyDeleteI really like the purple/wisteria colored ones! sandie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the color of the second one.
ReplyDeleteSo, so beautiful, especially the second picture. Awesome Rose!
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual one...love it! Love the purple and white ones too! I love petunias and used to be able to grow them like weeds, but something happened to my green thumb and now they won't grow for me. I think slugs eat their roots, or something....they just kind of shrivel up at the ground and die. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI miss having Iris's. They are an easy growing and proud beautiful flower
ReplyDeleteOh my gracious! The white/yellow/orange iris is stunning! I don't recall seeing one like that before. I think you should enlarge, print, and frame that image. I can see a Georgia O'Keeffe painting in there, too. I LOVE IT!
