I wondered if you were getting snow, our son called from Illinois and they were getting it. We are just getting light flurries. I did spy a female cardinal at the feeder today but they have been pretty scarce lately.
All my birds have left the country! The quail are coming around. I feed them chicken scratch. And the pheasants whole corn. I don't know where the "local" birds went.
I'm envious of the amount you got. We had only flurries. Sitting watching the birds isn't a bad way to spend the day. Just make sure you have something warm to drink and your camera!
Thank you for visiting my blog...I hope you like it enough to take the time to comment. I enjoy comments so much, and always try to make a return visit.
she is a sweet little girl sitting in the snow at your bird buffet
ReplyDeleteAh----poor little birdies. I always worry about them in this weather.
ReplyDeleteNo snow here though---just RAIN… Seems like rain is all we are getting this winter so far… Wish we would get a little snow here… Sigh!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Bless you for feeding those sweet little birds. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteNo snow here in the south so I'll just enjoy yours.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures of sweet Miss Cardinal.
Yes you do have snow and I love watching the birds at the feeders. Ah--to see a Cardinal. We don't have them out here. MB
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty wee bird. Enjoy watching the birds from inside and keep warm :))
ReplyDeleteBest of times spending the day watching birds!
ReplyDeleteAnd she is wearing her lipstick today, just for you!

ReplyDeleteThat second shot really shows her off - nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThese are great bird captures as well as documentation of your snowy conditions. I like how the bird shows up so well against the snow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful female cardinal! They show up so well in the snow.

The snow sure does convince the birds to use the feeders! I'm thinking we may have a white Christmas this year. ;)
ReplyDeleteShe's a pretty one! These birds distract me so at the feeders when there's snow...it's so much easier to see them. :-) It's a distraction I love.
