This is not the best exposed shot ever, that is for sure. But just have to show it to show what it looked like under the feeder. I always throw a scoop of bird seeds under the area...plus the other birds knock it out of the feeder.
As you can see we got some snow, but not very much. Though it did start snowing again this afternoon. I have not looked outside to see if it is still snowing.
But look at what showed up...that is our first robin. Besides the robin, I saw a red-winged blackbird. I think it is the first one I have ever seen at my feeders...along with it being the first one I have seen this year. It only stuck around a minute or two and I did not see it again.
I had robins all over my backyard one evening last week and a pair of red-winged but haven't seen either since. Fickle birds. LOL
ReplyDeleteI've seen robins on other blogs at feeders but I've never seen them at mine.
Looks like the Robin is taking a bath in the seed. haha
ReplyDeleteWe have had Red winged Blackbirds just arriving at the feeds lately. Mostly the females. They just swarm them. Looks like your birdies are lovin' you. MB
Mr. Robin says that spring is coming soon!
ReplyDeletethe robin looks like he is staking out his claim to all the seeds he can sit on. love the dove...
ReplyDeleteMy front yard was covered in robins late last week. I really hope it's a good sign.
ReplyDeleteYou have quite a potpourri of birds showing up! Great shots of them all sharing the bounty.
ReplyDeleteFun to look at all the birds....Spring IS coming!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis photo could easily been taken right out front of the house. I do the same thing...throw seed down under the feeder and around and about on the snow...even on the front porch. These pictures make having the snow more pleasant. I still hope it is the last for this year. We are sososo cold.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure glad we didn't get all that snow the forecasters were telling us we were going to get!
ReplyDeleteI've not ever seen a Robin eat bird seed! That poor thing must have been truly hungry!

I love it that the robins are making their way northward!
ReplyDeleteJust seeing the ground with feeding ground birds is a treat for me!
ReplyDeleteThat is a busy place! I used to live by a pond where we had red-winged blackbirds all the time, but where I live now I've never seen one at my feeder.
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet birds! I love little birds now! I have never seen a robin in person that i remember. I would be so excited to take a picture of one. Lucky!
