From March 2010

To me, fog or snow can make any picture a great picture.

Something that is otherwise mundane, becomes captivating or mysterious.

This morn the fog is so thick you could cut it with a knife.  A good morn for pictures, but also a good morning for a wreck so I stay put.

I did not accomplish one single thing yesterday.  Other than cooking and doing dishes, and not much to either one of those.    I always feel like I need to accomplish something each day, even if it is just a load of laundry.  So maybe that is what I will go do now.  I think this fog will clear off and maybe I can hang a load or two outside.

  1. i remember the fog when we lived in Savannah, we don't get it here very often, maybe twice a year. i do remember that if you hang clothes out in it they just get wetter. i like the mysterious house pic

  2. We get a lot of fog here whether it rolls off the hills or comes in from the salt water---marine flow they call it here. It can be spooky---Halloween time of the year. MB

  4. I know what you mean about wanting to accomplish something every day. Fog does make interesting photos...but it sure is dangerous to drive in!

  5. We had fog this morning, too. 80% chance of rain forecast for tomorrow. Love both shots- the second one is spooky in the fog, for sure!

  6. My most memorable adventures with fog were in St. Louis MO, where the fog seems to come around a bit often. Good pictures. I'm trying to accomplish a couple of things today, and tomorrow I have to really get busy for my Soup Group.

  7. I love the second picture, it is spookily beautiful and moody. Fog pictures have just the best atmosphere! I have caught Phil's flu and can do barely nothing, wah!

  9. Glad to know that I'm not the only one not accomplishing anything. Great fog shots! it does make a real mystery of things. I went to a small quilt show in Madisonville, Ky yesterday and forgot to take my camera...can you believe that???? Lovely quilts anyway.
