I call this co-operation.

I happened to walk into the dining room, and there on the window was this guy/gal.  I had my camera laying right there, and got a couple different snaps.  It kept closing and opening its wings.  I don't know what kind this is, do you?  It took off and I did not get a good look at the top side.  I am thinking Hackberry Emperor.
Nothing lost today.  So far.  The day is not over:-)

A friend stopped by and informed me they are moving...though we don't visit often, I will miss them.  I will miss just knowing they are there.  But they will only be about 4 hours away, so not impossible to visit.  Shoot, we may end up seeing each other more after the move than we do now.

Lucky to get such a great photo! Maybe you will get a chance to visit your friend after she gets settled. It will give you a chance to take some photos along the way!

Sometimes we luck out! My usual though is to run for the camera and whatever I wanted to take a photo of has flown the coop, so to speak!
Have a great day!

That is a pretty winged guy/gal! So will you be expecting a new neighbour soon?

It can be bittersweet when friends move away. You might be right about seeing them more often as you will likely not take them for granted. Well, maybe you don't take it for granted that they will always be there...but I know I sometimes do with my local friends. I can sometimes get quite preoccupied with my own little activities.

I don't recognize the butterfly from the bottom side. Sorry!
