I finally made up my mind I was either going to make a zippered pouch or quit thinking about it...
I did not have a pink zipper on hand, but had green, blue, red, orange, and this yellow. So, I chose yellow. Since it was my first time making this boxy-pouch, I wanted to use what I had on hand.
The first two photos are without flash--the last is with. The real color--somewhere in between.
I used this video by Melanie Ham to make this project.

Oh, and BTW, I finally found the organza I have spent so much time looking for. Up here under the extension table of this sewing machine up here. I thought I had brought it up here, and looked in the drawers I have dedicated to sewing. So thought I had just remembered wrong and still left it in the basement in the drawers down there. I am so relieved to have found it.
Rose,
ReplyDeleteYou are very creative and talented, in more than one way, ma'am!
Have a Great Day!
Peace :)
Your zippered pouch is super and I agree, you are so creative and talented. Glad you found your organza.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finding the organza, Rose. :) Yesterday, my husband found the clock I couldn't find, so now we both feel a bit better. ;)) I really like that pouch! I'm fascinated by containers of all kinds. What will you use it for?
ReplyDeleteMakes you feel good to find something that was lost. I love the zippered pouch. The yellow is a nice accent for the pink. Wishing you a good day. We are receiving lots of rain this week.

ReplyDeleteRose, the pouch is beautifully done! It is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteGlad you found the material you were looking for. Always a relief to know you really knew and eventually find. LOL

I forgot to mention about tomatoes. Too bad about your tomatoes as one tomato lover to another. I remember in one post in the Spring you had just bought some starts. We were going to just buy starts but somewhere Bob picked up a seed packet. This tomato is called Celebrity--try it next year.
ReplyDeleteTomato sandwich--YUM. Our tomatoes are just ripening now. bob's son Jim has about 200 tomato plants and they have been ripening for awhile now. He sells at farmer markets. we just want to eat ours.If you really want some of the blue and pink Morning Glory seeds I will save you some for next Spring.
