I saw the link to this tutorial on Sew Inspired on Pinterest. I just had to try one...and may make more later. I showed it to my sister-in-law/best friend and she made one before I even started. And her daughter suggested the chicken have an eye...so thank you Holly for that idea. Hopefully tonight I will set and do the hand stitching on the binding.

It has rained a lot here today and really cooled down some. But get this, when the cats first went out this morn, two of them went out on the sidewalk and sat a few minutes in the rain. The heat must have been really getting to them because I have never noticed them doing that before.
Oh, I LOVE the hotpad!! The temperatures were a bit cooler to day here too. FINALLY! I think tomorrow will be rather nice.
ReplyDeleteCute and smart little cats and that hotpad is very cute.
ReplyDeleteCUTE! Isn't it fun making something small and kinda silly? Makes for a nice break from the big quilt decisions. Holly is right, the button eye makes a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteOh I love this hot pad, Rose.
ReplyDeleteFunny about the cats....I took 2 of my cats to the vet for annual checkup yesterday. What a wild ride with those two!!!
I had to go stand out in the rain for a few minutes myself!
ReplyDeleteCute little pot holder.
ReplyDeletewhat a cute hotpad. So glad it rained and it's a little cooler.
ReplyDeletevery strange for cats to sit in the rain... and i agree, the eye should be there. you will never have to buy a pot holder and that is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteCats sitting in the rain? My dog won't even do that, so hard to imagine. Love your potholder.
ReplyDeleteI love the pot holder/hot pad. Chickens are fun and I am glad you added the eye.
ReplyDeleteCats are funny and I am sure with their fur coats they welcomed the coolness.
