We had wind last night...wind that howled and hunted for cracks to sweep through. Wind that blew leaves hither and yon. It really felt like winter was moving in. We had to run to Kroger this more, so as it was on the way, we ran through the strip pits. The pic below is as we passed through the area, and the above is as we left. In the above one the sun was just peeping out for a minute.
I am not sure I am ready for this...but I know I have no choice. I would not mind if I didn't have to get out in it except when I wanted to.
Very nice pics, Rose, but I know you are not ready for a cold wind yet.
ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to be worse here, but I guess it picked up strength as it pushed northeast.
ReplyDeleteI just hope we don't skip straight to the ice storms we had last winter!
Have a wonderful weekend!
We had one move through late today with high winds.
ReplyDeleteYesterday looked like that for us and today was very windy on our way to LaCrosse Wi. I love that top shot.
ReplyDeleteThe wind has finally calmed here.
ReplyDeleteBelas fotografias de um céu ameaçador.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim de semana.
Yep, the weather has been changing significantly here too...and the wind is supposed to get ferocious later on today. I like the light in the top photo, Really I do!
ReplyDeleteWow, awesome looking skies. Great captures. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the first one, that awesome dark cloud makes this photo art.. glad you are safe and sound.
ReplyDeleteYes, your winter is coming along sooner that you'd like, and we are heading into a very hot summer. We will share our journey of seasons.
ReplyDeleteUsually when the weathermen say a front or rain is coming it fails to pan out. We had such an nice morning to feed the cows. Not too hot and not too cool.
ReplyDeleteWe just got to WV and I think the wind you experienced has come here. Poor Bud has to run in it tomorrow. That first picture is my favorite. So nice
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, We had the same cold front --with high winds---come through last night/today... As you said, the leaves are blowing here and yon! AND--we have a Freeze Warning out here tonight.. IF it happens, this will be our FIRST one of the upcoming winter. We'll say Bye Bye to our pretty flowers for this year... BUT--we have enjoyed them longer this Fall than usual....
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay WARM.
Hugs,
Betsy
