My daughter wants me to make shams for her....she ordered more batiks.
She wants one set out of the one above. It is even more gorgeous in person.
Then she wants me to use the one above and the one below to make another set...
She wants one fabric on the front and another on the back.

Winter temps are here again...it was 9ºF here this morn at 8:30ish. We had to run to Walmart for a prescription and it was just 11 degrees an hour or two later. A couple hours later, the thermometer on the Rav4 said it was 18º...the wind cut right through a person.
I wanted to get back to sewing, but didn't...maybe I will get in some time tomorrow. I had time this afternoon, but was rather on the lazy side.
Rose, the batiks are beautiful. Waiting to see the work in progress. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty fabric, I even like the purple one. ;o) Do you know the brand?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE batiks. These are all pretty, but that purple is stunning. I was going to sew yesterday, but we are getting lake effect snow (2nd day of it) so I crocheted instead.

Ooooo, lovely batiks. The shams made in those fabrics will look lovely on the Lotus quilt.
ReplyDeleteGetting a cold snap here too. Saturday it's supposed to dip to -20 (that's -4F) with wind chill of -31. Finally winter has arrived! Love it when it gets this cold.
The colours go so well together. I think your daughter has great taste. ;)
ReplyDeletemy favorite fabric is the first one, i really love that one.. she is blessed to have a sewing mom... brrrr on your temps... we woke up to 39 which is FREEZING to us
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Batiks. I especially LOVE that top one. WOW.....

Hugs,
Betsy
Two gorgeous patterns Rose, can't wait to see the finished product. It will be stunning. Right now we're at about 28.7 deg F., a bit of a heat wave compared to your temperature but we'll be catching up I'm sure. Good to treat yourself to a bit of laziness at times :)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful---your daughter wants to keep you busy. LOL
ReplyDeleteBob is out pruning the last two trees. It is sprinkling out so I hope he hurries. I planted some Primroses but don't like the raindrops falling on my head.

Those are lovely fabrics. They compliment one another beautifully and all look so contemporary. They will sew up beautifully. I know how you feel about getting started. Sometimes when I'm not totally sure about how I want to proceed it takes me the longest time to get started. Wishing you happy sewing and sunshine, Bonny
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful fabrics Rose! I've made a few quilts out of batiks and loved working with them.
ReplyDeleteThese are pretty! Winter coming here Friday and the weekend. Brrr!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous batiks, Rose! I especially love the first one.
