This is going to be a little quilt to lay across the back of Roger's recliner. I have had this part finished for a while now, it is just a matter of getting it layer and quilted.
I have tried 3 different ways of doing the binding and not completely happy with any one of them. But they are mug mats and I am not going to worry too much about it.

We had a downpour of rain. I know we need it, but so wish some of the places that have the wildfires would get some, too.
I like Roger's quilt for his chair. The mug mats are very nice too. I imagine your temps will get colder after the rain. We are still warm and dry here.

I would love to be able to make pretty quilt designs like you. The little mug mats are so cute. That is such a good idea. I like the story about the "bird party". I was looking back at your posts I've missed.

ReplyDeleteLove the quilts and the mug mats. I just finished a couple of place mats for one of my sisters and I hate binding the edges of such small items! All that hand sewing on the back seems tedious for something small. For something like mug mats I usually just turn them and not use a binding at all, but the binding sure adds another dimension of color and design if you have the patience! Love the colors in these.
