More random thankfulness....
Michelle said she is thankful for the heat....I couldn't agree more.
........I am thankful for all the flowers that are in bloom or will be blooming.
........I am thankful that I don't have to put on a coat or jacket every time I go outside...
........I am thankful that we don't need to start the Rav4 to get warm before we leave.
........I am thankful for it to be warm enough to sit outside and read! I think I miss that about more than anything during the cold months. I will sit outside in the hottest of weather to read...but I don't like to sit out if it is cold at all.
........I am thankful to get to see all the birds. Our baby robins have been gone over a week I think, and now the House Wren has been back out there the past two or three days. It keeps checking out the old gourd but I am not sure if it has decided to build out there or not. I am not sure I want them to, or not. They have been out there the past two or three years and I am never sure if they have success or not.
I will be linking to Michelle's Thankful Thursday.

...what a spring, in the 80s today and in the 60s tomorrow and then cooler. I'm thankful that I was able to get up this morning and have breakfast.
ReplyDeleteAlways something to be thankful for. That Iris is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a blur heron! We both have so much to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful I felt better today then I have in a couple of weeks even though my blood platelets were only in the 40's at the doctor yesterday. Your flower is beautiful.
ReplyDeletelots to be thankful for, at the same time you are thankful for your heat I am whining at the top of my lungs over 3 days of record breaking heat here, 97..is that hot or what. I can't go outside because it is to hot.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading on the porch in summertime, too. That sure is a pretty iris.
ReplyDeleteRight now I am thankful for the heat, but in July maybe not as much! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe have so much to be thankful for and I am thankful for the same things you listed...except I don't have a Rav4. :) Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovely Iris. I love that color...
ReplyDeleteI'm almost the opposite from you when describing hot and cold... Maybe that is because it is already VERY HOT here in Tennessee..... GOSH---if it is THIS hot now, what will August be like?????? I remember playing outside in summer and even laying in the sun as a teen. I loved hot weather... I don't now.... Can't stand the hot weather... SO---I prefer cold (although I will admit that I don't like really cold wether these days either)....ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Such a pretty color Iris!

ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for warm sunny mornings for walking. : )
A lot to be thankful fo and thank you for those pretty photos :)
ReplyDeleteLovely post Rose! I think everyone is so thankful the weather has finally changed for the better.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Robin
Those are good things to be thankful for. I do love warm weather too...so much so that it's hard to come inside. I love being out and hearing the birds and the frogs...so much better than hearing the old TV playing.
ReplyDeleteThat iris is stunning! [I just finished sketching an iris]...and yes I may gripe 'it's too hot', but I will take heat any day instead of cold.
ReplyDeleteAn beautiful flower! Thank you so much
ReplyDeleteAlways thankful to be warm. I do like the part about not having to put on a coat to go outdoors. It was 70 here yesterday with lots of sunshine and that is just perfect for me. Our Iris's are still in but but soon they will open.
ReplyDeleteYou sound happy and for that I am thankful.

ReplyDeleteI can't agree with you more but I have to wait until winter passes :( Thank you for sharing your thoughts and beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteThat iris is a beautiful shade of blue! Love that big blue heron and it's nice to have baby birds. We have a little family of chickadees right now! Enjoy your week! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe iris is gorgeous. I love that color. I am enjoying the birds around here too. Great photos. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your weather has taken a kinder tone. It's been a funny old year over there too. We've had so much cold, grey weather. Fingers crossed for sunshine.
ReplyDeletebeing thankful is so easy ... makes you think and be more quiet for a bit. just organizing all your thankful thoughts. ( ;
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful Iris!! Your list could well be mine, Rose. Especially the part about reading outside! ;) Wishing you a wonderful weekend! blessings ~ tanna
