Busy times...

Lorelei spent the night last night, and did not go home till the afternoon...she wanted to go to the park last night.

I took her but was so cold we only stayed about 20-25 minutes.  She was fine, but I was freezing.

She told me that people at school that didn't know her name just called her Monkey...because she is always hanging on the monkey bars.  She told me 'That's okay.....I just take it as a compliment.'

She is growing up much too quick....

It has been kind of hectic the past few weeks...I even forgot I had an appt. for a haircut this afternoon!

It is not that I have had so many things to do, but the hoops I had to jump through to get a few things done.  Two things were prescriptions, and I am still waiting on one.  But it is out of my hands.  One doctor was supposed to get Roger an appt. with a pulmonologist, and I waited a week and a half and no word...so, I just got an appt with our family dr....that was Wed. and the appt has done been made....of course it is not until January of next year.  But still...at least one is made.

And that is only part of what has been going on...it has really made me think about stopping blogging completely.  But for now I will carry on a bit longer and see how things go.

  2. Pictures of pure joy! Yes, she is really growing. And loving to be with you. I am sorry about all your appointments, but you are such a wonderful blogger. Maybe it can be your quiet time, and your time to be able to vent?

  4. Lorelei looks so cute; I used to be limber like that! Tell her that my brother nicknamed me Monkey because when I was a baby I could climb out of my baby bed!
So sorry that everything to do with doctors and scripts is difficult. It is very frustrating, I know. You know that you will be seeing Lorelei a lot during the upcoming holidays, so please keep on sharing with us. I hope you will have a pleasant weekend.

  6. I love seeing your sweet little Monkey girl hanging upside down, now I wonder how she keeps her glasses on. love her cute boots... and good to see how big she is getting. hang on and blog when you can, I think outside contact is good for you, even through internet.. one of my friedns at tops is depressed, her phone and ipad are not working. I think part of her depression is she lost contact with the outside world.

  7. One of our granddaughters fell from the monkey bars. Thankfully the worse that happened to her was her bottom lip got hurt, when her teeth went through it. Shortly after her accident a cousin’s son fell off the monkey bars and broke his arm.

  8. Hang in there, Rose. I enjoy your posts, but I understand you need a break sometimes. Yes, Lorelei is surely growing and so pretty. I know she brings you much joy. (If you and I were running and climbing we wouldn't get so chilly! LOL)

  9. Lorelei is a sweetheart, love those pics. I wish I were that limber still. You've got a lot to deal with Rose. I can understand you needing a break at times. Take good care of yourself and sending a big hug.

  10. Lovely photos of your beautiful granddaughter still young enough to let you take photos and smile for the camera. Those days seem to evaporate when they hit the teen years so enjoy your time. :-) The medical community makes it pretty challenging to maneuver and it's especially hard when it becomes so frustrating. Good luck and good health for you and your loved ones. :-)

  12. What a girl that Lorelei is. It is funny but my grade school we had no monkey bars etc. Just a big dirt area where we could run and run----well I likwd running. I think LL is very proud of what she can do on the Monkey bars.
good for her. She looks great in glasses.
Sorry you have to deal with appointments etc. Almost painful. It should be easy not hard. Hopefully things go better.
If you stop blogging we all would understand but please~~~DON'T

  16. Lovely photos of a beautiful little girl. I think they all grow up too fast these days, but it's heart-warming to see their progress. She's really rocking those new glasses - even upside down and defying gravity! Bonny x

  17. Apparently Lorelei enjoys hanging upside down. Monkey is probably a good nickname for her. We call my oldest grandson Monkey Toes. It's amazing what he can do with those TOES, lol.

Sometimes I feel the same way about blogging. It's usually not because I am too busy, but don't have anything to blog about. But I would miss my blog friends too much. Some of my best blog friends no longer post and I hate that I have lost touch with them. Often one is not too busy to blog, but finding time to respond to comments is difficult. If that is your issue, don't worry about it. We just like your picture posts and keeping up with what is going on. Maybe we're just nosey, lol.
    Much love.
    xx, Carol
