Our daughter sent us this...43 years ago we said our vows. So long as it is not like our 40th anniversary I will not complain...he had a mini stroke on our 40th, followed by the brain bleed on Aug 2.
The flowers came at the perfect time....when it was thundering and beginning to rain so sure served as a bright spot to the day.
I have never seen this plant in flowers before. It reminds me of the Silver Dust I used to buy, but not exactly like it. So maybe it is a different variety? I don't know.

ReplyDeleteI have never seen that plant in flowers or out of flowers. it alone is gorgeous and the bouquet is beautiful, love yellow flowers. I did not know his stroke was on your 40th... Happy 43rd Anniversary and I wish you much happiness and joy today...… wish I were there to take you out to lunch, both of you ormaybe breakfast since he loves that... Bob is sick, has been sinceSaturday but did not tell me.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. Your flowers are so pretty. That is an unusual flower and I bet you will hunt down the name of it. If not Google, call the florist. The last three years seem to have passed quickly.

ReplyDeleteHiya Rose! That 'flower' is ornamental kale - a cabbage! These have been used for quite some time now to make interesting and different bouquets. The last well, too. You can grow them in your garden. Am happy to have connected with you! YAM xx
