Another day, another iris...
I don't remember where this color came from...actually don't remember where half of them came from. But I love them all...maybe not equally, but almost equally.
**********
Another day with the first half spent trying to accomplish two medical calls, and am now waiting on another call. But have a couple hours before it is due.
I have been out trying to pull a few weeds without getting down on my knees and find it is almost not worth it. I was getting so dizzy part of the time that I was thankful to have the garage to lean against. Funny how one minute it is fine and the next you just can't do it. So, will be on my knees to do the rest..and that is a whole other set of issues. Thank goodness I have a lot of strength in my arms.
Still having some other issues that I wish were over and done. But will just have to live through it. I am sort of learning not to let it get me down...I have been through it two other times before through the years and this is just another time to learn and go on.
***********
The good news...I had been running a temp, it was not Covid 19...and I am on antibiotics. The dr. said my sinuses and throat were really red, red...and I had fluid on both ears. So with knowing that is all it was, maybe soon we will get to go see our girls' new homes. And get to see our grandfurbabies. Hopefully, will see Lorelei sometimes this week...she likes her new house but is wanting to come and stay with us. I just have to talk to Sarah and see what we can work out. We were all staying apart with me with the temp...or what I thought was a temp.
I got new thermometers, and yes, I did get more than one new one. I tried to get one early on, but Walmart was out. And while my old thermometer that is only about a year old still says I am running one, the new ones both read normal. The funny thing, with the old one, I take mine and it is high, but take Roger's and his temp is normal. So, still an oddity. I have not taken his with the new ones.
I am leaving you with a little video...it will warm your heart.
I hope you have a good week ahead...and that you are staying safe. We are still staying close to home for the most part, unless we go for a little drive.

I do hope the antibiotics work well. Sorry you have had such a hard time. I love the color of the iris. The video is amazing; thanks for sharing it. Hope you have a good evening. That bending over and/or getting on your knees for yard work is hard.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry! Do you know why you get dizzy? I love this video so much; we both watched it. I posted it to Facebook. The iris reminds me of a Victorian flower, with this color.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeletePretty iris, I like the color. It will be nice when you can visit your your grand-furbabies and Lorelei. I hope you feel better soon, take care! Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
The iris is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteGetting older aint for sissies! Neither is getting up off the ground - my goodness that seems to change daily for me. A couple years ago no problem - now I have to climb up!!!
I love that video. Just shows life is stranger than fiction sometimes. So sweet. We should all take lessons.
Hope you are healing up!
Hope you get that nasty stuff over with soon. I love the Iris.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you are feeling better. I find that the older I get, the more tired I get from gardening, etc. The color of that iris is amazing! I wish that I had one. And the video is cute- what a pair!
ReplyDeletePraying you will be feeling just fine real soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have not been feeling well. I hope the meds work quickly and you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThe cat and crow story is priceless. Good lessons there for sure.
The Iris is so lovely. I can't decide what colour it is but it sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteSorry you aren't feeling great but at least it's not Covid. That's what we're all trying to avois.
I can still do gardening okay, though I had a nasty back seizure when I was pruning a bush last summer and it left me with an intermittent back ache which flares up at times. I enjoy gardening so I hope I never get too decrepit to do any!
ReplyDeleteI like the colour of the iris. Nowadays, I will sit on a low stool to do my gardening and weeding. And when I need to get up, I take my time to get up. I try not to sit on the low stool for too long. That is an amazing relationship between the crow and the kitten. Hope you recover soon from your sinuses and sore throat. Have a great day.
ReplyDeletei am seeng the crow and kitten with my own eyes and it IS a miracle. the crow has adopted the kitten. blows my mind and makes me happy, i am not fond of crows but now i might be changing my mind. sorry you are dealing with doctors, me to and it is NO FUN....hope everyone gets well enough to visit or have a visit from Lorelie...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your iris. Mine aren't blooming much this year. Only one or two have bloomed. I don't know what is different unless the trees have finally grown too much and are shading the area. At least I can look at yours. Cutting down the tree or moving all the iris are both two chores I can't possibly handle right now!

Oh, I love the bronze colored Iris. Several years ago I ordered several iris of mixed colors from a catalog called Springhill. There was a bronze colored in the bunch. For some reason all the unusual colors have changed to white or just the regular purple/blue color. It's so strange. Hope you got to see Lorelei soon. That sweet child grew up so fast...but so did both my granddaughters.
ReplyDeleteLots of good things in your post, although getting sick not so, but to know you've going to be okay is all good...
