Flowers from today...
I forget why I was standing right against the dining room window this morn, but I was and happened to glance down and there were these beauties open.
It had rained a little early this morn, and the raindrops glistened in the sun. I grabbed my phone and took a couple quick snaps.
**********
It has been the usual day to day stuff here. A couple loads of wash, vacuuming, cooking, and dishes...
I intended to either go for a little drive or sew a few lines but did neither. Instead I sat out back and read a while...In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. I read it when I was still a teen-ager but could not remember details at all.
I hope everyone is safe and that things are going well for you.

I love Iris. They are so delicate and beautiful. Mine died out several years ago. I can see my neighbors flowers across the street - they are pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat velvet purple with the rain drops is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe water droplets really look beautiful on your flag iris (isn't it a gorgeous colour?). Enjoy your day :) xx
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty. Love the deep color.

ReplyDeleteYour Iris is just perfect and the rain drops make it even better.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I was sure it was Saturday so today I haven't done much at all. Did it yesterday. I'm reading a book I read long ago too. It's called Elizabeth is Missing. Author is Emma Healey. I think you'd enjoy it.
I absolutely love flowers with raindrops on them. And I love Irises.
ReplyDeleteThe water drops are an added bonus to the beautiful bloom.
ReplyDeleteI read that book ages ago!
Hi again. I just finished that book and I'm not thrilled with the ending. Don't you hate it when you think you know what the end should be and it isn't. Anyway, just thought I'd let you know before you went and ordered that one. Meanwhile I got precious little done all day because I was determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely, such a gorgeous colour, and the raindrops just add to their beauty.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Love the water droplets on the flowers...and the colour behind the droplets makes them even more magic
ReplyDeletePretty good here, annoying chain saw someplace near (all day), the sun is out, the air is warm/indoors, busy moving things around...so much exercise.
