Lovely things...

From the antique mall...Gilley's in Plainfield, Indiana to be exact.  I thought this set beautiful.  I have no place to put it but I did think of another blogger and wondered if she would like it.  It is not her usual style, but I think she would still think it pretty,

************                                                                                                                 I made a run to Walmart his morning...I go every week without fail almost.  The bad thing is, I thought of something I needed before I got up but could not think what it was after I was up.  I tried going through the aisles mentally, picturing what is in them and nothing jumped out at me.

Ah, well, I would not mind going back in a few days as something is starting to bloom outside the parking lot, and I for sure want to be there to take pictures at some point.

I think I am fixing BLTs for supper.  A BLT sounds good to me, no matter what time of year it is.  I will first check with Roger and see if it sounds agreeable to him.  I have yet to see him not want one but there is a first time for everything.

I have been upstairs to vacuum but did not play with fabric or sewing at all.  I am hoping to feel like going back up later.

I write things down before going to the store and still forget things!

  4. I can't wait to see what plant you found at Wal-Mart! The set is unusual, I love the shape of the little pitcher.

  6. That is one thing that Bob and I both like equally and rarely have. I do love one in a restaurant where I don’t have to make it and they seem to taste so good when they’re made into a club sandwich with potato chips

  7. That set is pretty. It reminds me of something my mother made in ceramics that had a mother of pearl finish on it.
I'm always forgetting things I need at Walmart. I have to put them on the list right away or I'll likely forget what they are.

  11. Yes, beautiful mugs are a must. :-)))
Thank you for your kind greetings yesterday. I am very happy.
My quilting experience is in its infancy... I used to knit a lot... and leter I started sewing small bags and then larger bags. When no one wanted a bag anymore, I started sewing clothes for myself, skirts, simple blouses, pants and dresses - that was a lot of fun too. And now I got into patchwork and quilting. Unfortunately, my sewing machine doesn't have a free-quilting arm, so I've only been able to quilt straight lines so far... I still have an old Singer sewing machine, maybe I can use it to quilt free-motion... you know how you to do those beautiful curves the entire area :-))))
I looked at your beautiful work on your blog. It's so great because you explain it so well... at least it's a big help for me. I love the assembled colorful blocks made of rectangles... I don't have enough material for them otherwise I would get started straight away :-)))
A thank you and a kind regard go to you from Viola
p.s. I'm also looking forward to your photos of the flowers.
And I hope you find some time and muse for sewing.
    Hug

  13. Se nota que es antiguo y esa antigürdad, hace que sea muy valioso.
Que tengas un buen fin de semana.

  14. I've finally given in to always taking a shopping list with me, and even a pencil to cross things off as I put them in the cart. Too ofen I forget something critical without a list. Beautiful antique pitcher and cups!

  15. Hey Rose! Know what you mean about thinking of something you need before you get up...I do the same thing and then cannot for the life of me remember what it was. Then remember after you've been to Walmart. :) I am waiting for that first ripe tomato so we can have a BLT!

  16. That is absolutely beautiful set! I can't wait to have the first BLT of the season, we did get one small tomato the other day but not big enough to even put on a sandwich.
