From today

I worked yesterday in order to have today semi-free.  But got a text that Roger's glasses were ready to be picked up.  It is maybe a 15 minute drive to get them.  So, on the way home, I stopped at Good Will.  I seen a book I should have got for my daughter.  Actually there were two by the same author, and I did not know if she had either one, so took a pic.

I knew she was busy at work so did not want to text and ask...so she had one of them but not the other.  I also looked around a bit and saw this tea-cup.   I do not know why I did not look at the bottom.  But I thought of Granny Marigold.  She has a big collection of teacups and they are beautiful.  So I always think of her.

It did have a bad chip on the other side.  So even if I thought I had room to collect something else, I don't think I would have gotten it.

It has been a nice day today.  I did get to sit outside and read a little bit late this afternoon.  Next I am heading upstairs to fool around a bit.

  5. it is really pretty, when I wander through goodwill I see lots of things I like but never buy anything. I did buy a pot with a lid the last time I went, it was a size I don't have. I don't know granny...

  6. I have a collection of my mother’s fancy cups. I have tea parties with the grandkids. Mom would love to see them used that way! A pretty cup is hard to pass!

  8. Does fool around a bit mean sewing? :~) My mom always said she was piddlin' when she was sewing. ME on the phone: "Whatcha doin', Mom?" MOM: "Oh just piddlin' a little." She surely did love to piddle and was good at it.

  9. Hey Rose! That really is a pretty teacup. I can't get over Granny Marigold's collection! Isn't it amazing? I haven't been in Goodwill in such a long time. Thrift stores are one of my favorite places to go! :)
