I miss seeing swans...I really need to get brave and venture out to find spots here to see things. One of these days I just might...or might just take off and head to familiar spots.
I have not done much today...I did cut out an apron...not the feminine kind, but the kind for grilling, etc. They are simple...and should be a quick make...I did get the ties made...but did not get the pockets cut out. Pockets are a must for me.
It is so dark and dreary here. I am really needing sunshine for more than an hour or two. Did not see it at all today...don't think I saw it yesterday. I have forgot what it looks like!
I am almost to the point of counting the days till the days start getting longer! And winter has only begun.
I haven't seen the sun for a couple of days either, perhaps tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI love to see swans but haven't seen any in a long time. Used to see them on the lake I walked around where we used to live.
I'm losing track of the days...they are all gloomy. Normally I like cold, rainy weather but this year it seems to be getting to me. If the sun ever comes out again ;o) I'm going to take a mini road trip - hopefully that will help.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you do need to make it a priority to get out, especially if the sun comes out. Your spirit needs it. Please take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteI do like this photograph of a beautiful swan.
ReplyDeleteWe have very wet and windy weather at the moment and the day has been quite dark! Roll-on Spring!
All the best Jan
He is so lovely with the sun shining on him! I really must have pockets now, am just lost without them. Funny, it didn't matter that much when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteI miss the sun too. We've had quite a few gray and dreary days here.
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful swan photo. I do like getting outside in the sunshine. Take care, enjoy your day and have a happy week ahead.
ReplyDeleteso sorry for the dreary days, I feel dreary when its dreary outside. sunshine makes me happy is really true. that swan is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteI guess we are all in the same boat..Sunshine is good for what ails us!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you can get out and see a few different sights and renew your soul. Hope you can find a swan at your lake.
Sue
We got our walk in before the rain started but it's a dreary day. We saw 5 swans one of which was an immature. I just hope they stay healthy because avian flu has come back to haunt us around here. Sadly.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor you... keep working on your apron... it'll be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to it.
I sew my binding on... cozy.
A hug to you... and good luck to you.
I hear you about the sun and light! These are dark days here too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you were real busy on all those things. I'm with you on pockets, I'm always looking and asking do they have pockets? That's a gorgeous photo of the swan. I don't get to see them either. Where my sister-in-law lives in North Carolina, she sees them during migration. I don't know how far I would have to travel to get to see any around here. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Rose.
