Winter is here....

The first real snowfall of the year...a week or two ago, daughter said they did have sleet downtown Indianapolis.   But this is snow.  I know at one point it was down t0 28° F...it may have been lower but I did not notice it if it was.  This was early morning...I have not paid attention to it otherwise.

This really is not a lot but I am sure the roads are slick.  I did go to Mcds but it was not like this.  I may be staying home in the morning which will not upset me in the least.

I have did some of my chores today...but won't go into that.  Just glad to have done what I got done.  There is always something waiting for me.  I am leaving the garbage bin for daughter to bring in.  I fear falling again and I don't think I could handle another break.  I would not even try to go out the back steps with Copper.

He went running out first thing and grabbed his big ball that is one of his outside toys.  I just told him no, I am not even attempting to get down and throw it or kick it.  He tried to make me feel guilty.

I guess I will post this and be done with it.  Still have to give meds before my night is over...that is not too far off.

  1. Poor Copper, but you are right to be careful! What did you break? I was away from home for 45 days with my broken hip (treated non-surgically) so I understand about being super careful. Take care!

  2. Good for you!! You do NOT need to go romping in the snow!! It is always some chores that need doing here, too. Because now it take me so long to do anything , what with my knees, hip, and back.

  3. Looks like you got more than we did. They say the pavement was good today. It appears here it didn't snow on the drive or walk! LOL

  5. Oh my goodness, that's a lot of snow! We may be getting some too but not sure if we are on the edge or not. Very wise of you not to go out in this. Better inside for sure. Take good care of yourself Rose, as well you are, and that photo sure looks pretty but tells me you are better off inside :)

  7. There was some snow on the mountains around me earlier this week. For the last two days it has rained non-stop...lots of flooding, lots of downed trees. Supposed to continue for the next two days. So gloomy. I went grocery shopping yesterday, hopefully it will last and I can sit at home sew. Take care and give Cooper a treat to make up for not playing. ;o)

I think you are wise not risking another fall. Mxx

  9. Dogs are so good at just looking sadly at a person and making you feel guilty. Smart of you not to risk falling. I'm still dealing with the results of my stupid fall.

  10. You got way more than we did here. You can still see the grass through what's on the ground. I don't blame you for not wanting to go out.
Copper will have to try harder to make you feel guilty...lol

  13. Oh my goodness, how white and cold and beautiful the snow looks. We just have our first 30-degree temps, and hard blustery winds. Yes, stay inside and don't fall! I am so afraid of falling and breaking a bone.
