Just thinking--and Thankful

I cannot stand to post without including a picture...I have had this photo in the draft forever.  Well at least since last fall.

*******
First of all, Roger got up feeling some better yesterday.  We did go ahead and go to the doctor.  Actually a nurse practitioner.  She could not put her finger on what is wrong, but is going to have his gall bladder checked and one or two other things done just to make sure nothing else is wrong.  And she had blood taken to check his liver functions plus more.

Today he has felt even better...he went to Walmart with me for a few minutes.  Has only lain down for just a few  minutes.  So, I am feeling thankful right now.

Has anyone tried hitting 'Next Blog" lately.  I did today just for fun in odd moments and at least 90% of the time it pulled up  old blogs that had not had new posts in over a year or more.  I wonder if this is happening all the time or was it just today.

It also makes me wonder will blogging finally be a thing of the past?  I don't think I will ever prefer Facebook over blogging, but I am thinking that is what is happening.

  1. So glad to hear Roger is feeling better!

Those are gorgeous red (and yellow) leaves. Like you, I prefer to post with a photo. :)

I clicked 'next blog,' and they all came up in a foreign language!

  4. So many are deserting for Facebook! I am glad you will not. I think we can say and communicate more on our blogs. YES! Just yesterday I was playing with the next blog feature! I hadn't done it in a long time. And I found what you did, they were deserted! Each time I tried the next blog, I got a different one. Too many ghosts blogs, sad.

I am not a fan of Facebook but I know so many people are. I pop into it because my whole family and a load of friends and a whole load of friends. I am not sure why I am still a hold-out. I just love my blog so much I suppose and trying to figure out why I don't like Facebook.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend Rose :)

glad Roger is better.. usually that happens if we go to the doctor and we are better by the time we get there.

i do think blogging is phashing out, and FB is ramping up, but even FB is being pushed out by twitter and pinterest and instagram.

  9. I don't click that button, but I do visit as many of my favorite bloggers as I can. I am on facebook, but mostly for my family. I hope the docs figure out what is wrong with Roger. I had gall bladder issues and it was not fun at all. That is one body part I will never miss!

  10. I confess that have a Facebook page but I don't post there very often. I do think many former bloggers now use FB. It's quick and easy...like fast food. Personally I think blogging is more satisfying.
