The tree

This is the tree that the dark leaf in yesterday's post came from.  I just love to watch it change.

I almost forgot that it was my night to post.  I try to do every other night.  Sometimes I just simply get other things on my mind and don't think.

I made a pot of vegetable soup this morning.  I managed to not make a HUGE one...it is still a lot.  I just simply love soups.  Roger ate a bowl but probably won't want another.  That is okay...I can eat vegetable souple for 3 or 4 days and not be tired of it.

I just sat and sewed more on my binding...a couple more needles of thread and it will be done.  All corners have been finished.  They are the tedious part of it since I make a mitered corner and I like them to look as nice as I can make them.  They are still not perfect.

I hope you have a good day tomorrow...

  1. Veggie soup - yum! I try to keep 3 or 4 different types of soup frozen. I'm getting low, should make something soon.

  2. If I had such a pretty tree I would love watching it change color! I have one helping of vegetable soup left in the freezer. My husband doesn't care for it he will eat it once and thats it. MEN! I could eat it everyday:)

  7. Quite a lovely tree. I’m with you about veg soup…any soup really. My MIL, at 92, has soup for lunch every day which she makes herself.

  8. The tree is so pretty. I like to keep some soup in the freezer for those day I don't feel like cooking. I always make way to much for the two of us also.

  9. Ummm, now I am hungry for soup. I could eat it any day and any time. Glad you could do some work on your quilt. Looking forward to seeing the progress. I just love when the trees show their finest colors. Great capture.

  11. Soup is always a good supper. This week our soup will be French Onion
(Onions were on sale 3 lbs for $1.44 which I thought was really a great price).

  12. I can see why Rose, it’s a gorgeous tree. I think you do great on your posting. Doing this every other night is a great idea. A pot of soup sounds really delicious. I was going to make a cabbage and potato soup but didn’t have the energy, so I went to the freezer again. I love homemade soups. I can eat them for several days too. Your sewing is coming along. I am betting your mitered corners would look perfect to me. You have a good day tomorrow also :)
