Would like some tea?

I meant to take a lot of pics at the antique places we went, specially the first but only took 3 or 4. This was one of them.

************

It has been a rainy, dark day.  And was kind of hectic to begin with.  I stopped by the grocery to pick up 4 things before I went on to Mcdonald's for Roger standard breakfast.  I go the the self-check to pay and realized I had left my wallet in the car.  I always take it out and put it in the cup holder till I am not searching for it when I pay at Mcds and forgot to get it when I went in the grocery.

Just so you know, I did not know for sure I was stopping...if it was raining hard, I was going to skip it.  But it was only misting so I thought I might as well stop and pick up the items.

Then I get to McDonald's....I could barely hear the girl when she asked me what I wanted.  I think some of them forget to turn on something.  Anyway, I ordered, and paid, then got to the window to pick up my food.  She asks did I get a large coffee and a large Coke...I said no, just a large coffee...no Coke.  She asks 'Diet Coke?' I said no, just a large coffee.  There was one sitting there and another girl handed her another...they tried to give me both of them...I said no, just the one...they told me i could have it for free.  I told them no, I can't drink it...it gives me heartburn and I was thinking to myself Roger only needs one...I finally convinced them to keep it.

The kids there are really some super kids...I think the one was fairly new.  A couple have moved on I think or else work a different shift.  But I am sure they will find a good job cause they sure were polite and knew how to work.  It was always fun to chat with them a few seconds if not a big line.  If a big line, we didn't really talk any.

I made fried rice...I think it is only the second time since being here.  When we are tired of everything, it always tastes so good.

  1. The McDonalds here often has lines of cars clean out on the highway!! Even though they have three drive-thru lanes. So what is his regular breskfast?

  4. Hmmm...The teapot looks like it was made by Hull in Ohio. I've collected the matt finish pottery of it for years. Please share your fried rice recipe.

  5. I don't go to the McDonalds here very often because there is usually a long line at the drive thru. I did go about a week ago because i caught it at a good time.

  8. I love teapots and would love to have a collection of them..but I have no where to display them.
We haven't been to McDonalds since french fries went up to $5.00 for large. I can't believe that and the workers really are awful near us. They do not deserve the $20.00 minimum wage they are getting.
Sorry, I will get off my soap box. I do like their Egg McMuffin though.

  9. That sure is a pretty tea pot. We have had nice people at our regular McDonalds. We go to one that is a little further away than our closer one. They were always serving the food cold and we decided to try this one and everything is always hot when you get it. And the people are very nice there too. We just wait until we have to go out that way.

  10. This is a really nice tea pot with some very pretty details on it... We do have a local McDonalds, but I rarely go to it. If so, it is to pick up a early morning coffee.
