I usually make crumb blocks that are a mixture of anything and everything. But when I made the Orange Peel quilt, I had all these tiny bits of orange fabrics left, plus I made at least two or three sets of the pumpkins seen here...you may have to scroll down just a bit.
So save all the scraps and stitch them together at odd moments. I have no idea what I will eventually use thee pieces for. I have used a few bits in make other things. I only sewed on a couple of these tonight.
The apron is finished and I don't know if I will ever wear it. I do not like how it feels on at all. Well, I say finished...I have not sewn the neck strap on. The patter calls for one, and calls for both ends to be sewn. I think I am going to make a second till it can be adjusted. But I don't know if I will ever wear it. It is that bad.
I did my walmart run today...and that is about all. Other than some of the usual chores.
I have something lost in the mail...it was supposed to come last Friday but decided to disappear...there has not been an update on it since the 8th. It is a small package, so who knows where it ended up.
Those will be very pretty! I liked your pumpkins too. Sorry about your mail getting lost, I hope it turns up soon.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have the beginning of a great fall quilt.
ReplyDeleteMy friend had two packages stolen from her yard. The porch pirates have now been able to find out delivery schedules and know when you are going to get something. You have always had such a talent for matching patterns!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to use up scrap material. The color is cheery and happy.
ReplyDeleteThe orange peel blocks are pretty. I hope your package is found.
ReplyDeletehope the package is not a need it now, to give time to find it. the orange quilted would make a great wall hanging or a runner for a table for the fall decor. glad you found a little time to do stitches. I saw the title and thought on no. someone fell and had to get stitches. glad it was fun not needles and thread on skin
ReplyDeleteThe Orange Peels are great. You have to be extra careful when sewing curves ;-) I think -
ReplyDeleteI like it very much... good luck in your future work.
Your leftovers look amazing...a runner or a cup coaster. I particularly enjoy work like this; It quilts beautifully and you can easily experiment with the size.
I have never worn the two aprons that I sewed myself... I haven't even featured them on the blog yet. Maybe I'll do it sometime :-))) But aprons are sew nice.
Kind regards to you.
Happy Advent.
Viola

ReplyDeleteso sorry about your package. I hope it will suddenly appear.
I have never liked any clothing I have sewn for myself. Now I don't do any kind of sewing but I do love your quilts and the way you create something out of scraps.
