Not so hot beaver pictures....

I debated on even showing these of the beaver...it was getting so late that I could not focus against the dark water. I have more pictures and none of them are good, so just chose these two.
The one below has been played with in photoshop elements...it does not eliminate the out of focus-ness of it, but you can see it a bit clearer.

And these two are some of the deer we seen out there. I wish we could get closer but they are off and running when we start getting even remotely close. Roger wonders if they have been poached, but I wonder if it is just cause because they are not used to vehicles.
We will be out there an hour or two and at the most see one or two other vehicles.
As usual, it ended with a beautiful sunset.

  2. Beavers are hard to photograph when they are out there swimming. We were watching a muskrat on the shore the other day, but he was in a tangle of weeds and the photos just look like a patch of fur in the weeds. I didn't even post them. Love the deer. This looks like a peaceful place.

  6. More great "Rose-Photos"... I love your pictures. The 2nd beaver one is really good. And those deer are watching you--just like ours do when we take their pictures. Loved the sunset also.

    Have a great day today.

  8. I love the top one of the beavers in the water - they look kind of Loch Ness-ish. And I got so into those pheasant photos last time, I forgot to mention what a wonderful photo that is of you and the wee one - you can sure "see the love"!
(and thank you also for your very kind words on my blog!)

  10. I think you did a good job of capturing the beaver -- a real good picture is hard to get. Your day did end in a beautiful sunset. Thanks for including that!

  11. Some days photography doesn't go as planned. I know that all too well. In those wildlife instances I tell myself then that at least I saw whatever it was and hope another day the chance will repeat itself. The silhouettes are pretty cool though.
Even my backyard deer get skittish and they see us all the time.
    Beautiful pink sky.

  12. I love the sunset Rose. of course mother nature doesn't always cooperate with us to get good photos. BTW, we came home from church yesterday and there was two deer in our housing addition...can you believe that?
