New to me

This is another find for me out at the strip pits...a Dickcissel if I am not mistaken. Again, I had heard of it but not aware of ever having seen one. There were a few of them scattered about out there, all just singing the summer in. Happy as could be.

I might attempt singing if I could ever get rid of this bug I have....I started coughing last night before I went to bed...every breath I take tickles the back of my throat and urges me to cough. Just thinking about it makes me cough. Seeing some of the posts of my blog buddies made me cough...so I guess I will hush and try to think of something else.

  1. Hi Rose, You have changed your blog around since I have been gone. I like it ALOT!!!!!

Sorry to hear you have been ill. Hope you are getting better now.. I know it's hard when that ole' cough stays around for awhile. Yuk!!!!

Loved catching up with all of your posts. You have some great bird photos. I don't know the one you mention in this post. I have SO much to learn.

Get Well---so you can see that precious grandbaby.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  2. Lovely bird...I've never seen one! Hope you get over the cough. Gargle with hot salt water...nasty, but it usually helps. I really hate coughing!

  3. That's a great shot. I had one of those guys around a while back, but haven't seen any since (at least when I've been looking!)

  5. I just checked out the Dickcissel and it's supposed to live in my area. How did I NOT know that? Now I'll be on the lookout for one. ;-)
