Fields of gold....

We went for just a short drive this morn...Roger wanted to check out one of the places he goes fishing in the Little Vermillion River. We knew the water was up, we just wanted to see how bad. After we checked it out, we took a road we had never taken before.
There were all these fields of yellow...I cropped these last two trying to give them a panoramic feel. The one above just seemed to go on forever.

  1. I love the golden fields...is it mustard? The high water here is pretty bad.

  2. Hi Rose, Sorry the water is still high there. It is here also. We've all had so much rain lately. Today though it's cold here --but at least not raining.

Love those fields, especially the yellow one.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  3. I really like your golden fields. You should have brought Roger down to the Smokies this weekend. They had Troutfest 2009 in Townsend and I hear that it was a big success.

  4. Our river is high but not to the danger level yet. I love that last photo. You could frame that one.

  5. I like the expanse of golden yellow in these field shots. Nice use of the power line towers too. Nice post.

  8. I love the golden ground. The water levels are very high here too. We'll probably be talking about drought in a couple of months but farmers are concerned about too much water right now.
