Never still

I made a mad dash to the strip pits after Lorelei and her mom went home tonight. I have other photos I will show later next week on my other blog...but for now I thought I would show this dragonfly...notice the wings. The wind was blowing till it was hard for them to stay put part of the time. It just blew their wings ever which way...and let me tell you there was a lot of them out there.
The toot had her mom and I in tears...she is just so funny. It is impossible to describe some of her antics...but will tell you she had her doll and was waving its arm and saying bye-bye to her papaw and me. And she had her dancing feet with her a big part of the time...they were climbing feet as well. When she gets a bit older, she will be climbing everything in sight.

I had a regular little step stool in the kitchen, and she climbed up on it first thing, and was looking for something to get into...and helping me cook! Then she wanted a banana...she would take a bite of it and go off and play a minute, then come back to me and tell me 'nana.'

But the funniest thing of all was late when Sarah was about to get ready to leave, I was playing with her...she went to the kitchen door and sort of pounded on it with her hand...and told me "Gotta go! Bye-bye!!"

I've seen so many photographs of dragonflies from blogging friends. I haven't photographed one dragonfly, not even a butterfly. There's a reason, though. I haven't been where they frequent and thus haven't seen that many.

When I saw your title (Never Still), I thought you were talking about the Toot --and not about the dragonfly.... Guess that title fits both of them well.

Miss Toot is such a cutie.... Yes---she'll be climbing all over the place soon and you'll be telling her NO... ha

Nice shot of the dragon fly in the wind. The antics of lorelei must be fun to watch. She is beginning to talk so much too. Nice post.

Again, I'm very impressed with this dragonfly photo. You did great, especially considering flapping wings. The wings are beautiful, too!

Excellent shot--with the wings still. Nice.

I remember my kids and grands doing the cutest and funniest stuff. Art Linklatter was right "Kids say the darndest things". MB

Very nice dragonfly shot! It's hard to catch them any time, and in the wind, even harder. Lorelei is just so cute and so funny. You will never grow old with her around :-)

I always love your stories about Lorelei. Such a little darling. My friends have twins and we got to see them last weekend. They are a year old now and their personalities are fast developing. Looking forward to my own grandbabies one day :)

Beautiful picture of your dragonfly. I haven't seen one with that coloring before.

Also, thanks so much for stopping by and wishing me a happy birthday the other day.

Neat dragonfly photo! I wonder how they can balance on grass like that!

It's wonderful that Lorelei makes you laugh! I love hearing stories about her.

Never still is the perfect title!
I've photographed a damselfly this summer - barely - but each time I see a dragonfly he's up and down and around... someday. :)
Lovely shot! Nice background.
