All right in my world....

I don't know why, but it always amazes me how much Lorelei being here changes me.  It is definitely a feeling of all is right with the world.  Whether she is right with me, or whether she is playing with Papaw or by herself, just hearing her footsteps and hearing her chatter is wonderful.

I remember enjoying my kids when they were little, and they gave us a lot of joy, but back then, I guess with Roger working, I always felt the pressure to get things done.  Now things can just wait or not--whatever is handiest to do.

She was playing with the point & shoot camera above...actually took some decent pictures till the idea to be funny struck...then she took several like this.

Raining lightly off and on here today.  Supposed to have thunderstorms tonight.  And maybe up to 1.5 inches of rain.  That will be wonderful as we are still short from the drought last year.  As warm as it is, I can see having thunderstorms, but sure don't remember having many this time of year.

Another thing I am anxious for spring for is to be able to hang clothes outside.  If it wasn't misting rain off and on today, it was warm enough to hang outside.  but it mists a little bit every so often.

Well, I best get off...I do have laundry going and I might sneak in a line or two of sewing.

  1. I think you must be good for Lorelei too. How lucky she is to be able to experiment with your point & shoot camera!

  3. This is a beautiful happy face!!! I know just what you mean. When we have our own children, we have them ALL the time, and so much responsibility and so little time. Being a grandparent is so different. We get to make up for our mistakes, and we always think their parents are being way too hard on them, when we probably used to be that way ourselves.

  5. Hi Rose, Very cloudy here today --with the threat of rain. However, we didn't get any... The temp was 57 --but they said it would go higher. It did NOT...

Supposed to get severe storms tonight. Like you said, it is strange to have thunderstorms in January...

Glad you are enjoying seeing and being with Lorelei so much.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  6. She is adorable. Aren't digital cameras wonderful! Kids can play with them without having to pay for the film and developing as we did when I was a kid. My Dad was a photographer so we all had cameras while very young, but we were warned to be careful about taking pictures we thought we would want to keep. :) Now she can take all the pictures she wants to take and they'll be fabulous to have in years to come. :)

We are having nothing but rain and strong wind here - I'm getting a tad fed up with it now - roll on the spring that's what I say :))
